SOURCE: Refrigeration AC not blowing cold air

If you can hear the A/C compressor start and run then your system has lost it's charge of refrigerant. If the compressor does not start and run it could be a control problem.

Check at the compressor terminals between the Red and the terminal for the overload protector to see if you are getting power to the compressor on startup.

SOURCE: AC,DC, gas RV fridge Dometic

You more than likely need to replace the control cable between the upper and lower board. It comes as a kit with the upper board. You can also do a bypass test by unplugging your thermoster from the circuit board. The thermoster is the temperature control for the refrigerator nothing to do with the freezer.

SOURCE: window ac unit is not blowing cold air

When the unit is running, go outside and put your hand near the condenser fins, this air that comes out should be slightly warmer than the ambient temp. If it is not you will need to take the unit out of the window and out of its outer case and clean the condenser fins from the inside, this is no easy task as it is very hard to reach. You will want to get a small (toothbrushed sized) brass bristled brush with a long handle. Make sure the evaporator coil (in the front) recieves the same attention and wash the mesh filter that goes in front of the evaporator. Re- assemble and enjoy the cold air.

SOURCE: Dometic Duo Therm Ac, Fan runs, Compressor cuts in and out?

your compressor is locked up. i would try replacing the round start capacitor. you need to check what the exact rating for yours is but I believe one of these two will work for ya. In the meantime do not continue to try to run it, it will kill the compressor.

It worked fine last year. This year it throws the breaker on the gen. After 2 or 3 min. The fan works on low and high but it trips on low or high ac its a model 6759c707

If all is the same as when it ran good, such as same power cord (no extension, or properly sized extension ) same generator output voltage etc, then I'd check amp draw when compressor kicks in. Good chance compressor start capacitor may be faulty.

Is an old unit worth fixing?

I recommend going with a new one. Both the coleman and the carrier are excellent and a whole lot more efficient that the 16 year old dometic.

Circuit Breaker and Dometic Rooftop RV Air

Its the watts you plug in too like ither 30 watts vs 50 watts. 30 watts will cause your wires to get hot in the unit. just pull down your breaker box and look at those white ground wires.

ROOF AC UNIT ISSUES

Ice on the coil is caused by 3 things; 1, low freon charge. 2, inadequate air flow across the coil, this can be a filter or dirty coil (I think you addressed these) or the fan isn't blowing enough air over the coil. 3, the unit is running continuously. A heat pump has another cause, that is something defective in the defrost system, like the sensor, reversing valve, control board or relay. If the breaker is tripping its because the compressor is over amping. There can be an obstruction blocking the fan or something like #2. Or the compressor is going out. If the breaker doesn't trip on other settings, like cool, but trips on heat, then I would look at the airflow.
