The brightness & contrast control circuit has become jumbled up giving you no control! Since these TV's consume high current, once any eloctronic component gets fried in a few secs. & the burnt comp'nt is neither noticed nor does the user get any malfunction indication. If still under warranty(applicable only on display for 3 yrs) & other components for 1 yr. Get this fact confirmed from the dealer/service center 0r contact SAMSUNG Cust. support for verification! In any case the TV will have to opened for repairs, so why not try & contact Samsung and exert pressure else you will take some legal action which will be detrimental to their sales will they jump & take you seriously enough to rectify your problem for free!..........sodeep
