MY SOUROUND SYSTEM IS WORKING AND AND THE SPEAKERS ARE WORKING FINE. THE SPEAKERS FEED OUT OF THE WOOFER BOX. THE LED ON THE WOOFER BOX IS LIT. THERE IS NO BASS REGARDLESS WHAT VOLUME ITS ON. ALL INTERNAL FUSES ARE GOOD AND NO SIGN OF DAMAGE TO TO ANY INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL PARTS, PLEASE ASVISE. THANK YOU
I'm having the same problem. It seems that the mosfet's shorted blew up a capacitor and took some surface mount parts with it. It will be the middle board with the metal shroud (shield). The mosfets are almost impossible to find, I have replaced them (as well as other parts) but still have yet to find the problem. I'm now trying to find the subwoofer amp board (part#LVA10505).
My daughter broke my reciever or the disc tray actually, any way how much will you pay for it all it. it all works very well except for the dvd tray which i cant find.
I have the same problem and here is what I do to fix it:
I set the receiver to DBS. I turn it on, and I quickly turn it off. When the goodbye message displays... I turn it back on again. For some reason, this seems to work for me.
If any of you guys are having the problem where the sub cuts out, or any of the other speakers for that matter and you are willing to sell the system as is please let me know.

Loose or cold solder in the circuit board and cleaning problem this is the main caused of no Bass..Cold solder issues - each component is soldered into small holes on the printed circuit board which in turn connects said component to the other components. Due to time, heat, use, some solder joints would be cracked or loose. It is possible that the cold solder is still minimally connected (hanging by a thread). When the receiver turns on heat would be generated which would be sufficient to further loosen up the solder joint to the point it no longer provides electrical contact. Jarring the unit creates movement inside enough to re establish the contact, sometime good enough sometimes not enough.
Again, since the unit still operates (sometimes) then it is highly probable that there are no defective components. As you have surmised, it is possibly a loose connection, solder joints are "connections" except that molten soldering lead is used to attach/connect the component to the board, "loose connection" in this sense is equal to "cold solder".
Again on the assumption of no defective parts, then seeking a more experienced buddy for the soldering might be to your advantage. This is of course in addition to the possible electrical hazards when repairing....
Good luck:
