I am certainly not an expert on this field; yet i have done this my self and this is what i did:

MOst fans have clips.
check where the from and back pieces attach. there should be several clips there remove them and voila.

if not there possibly check the centre pice of fan this may have a screw that holds front and back pieces together as well.

Pllease note you will also have to remove the legs from the side of fan as well. if the pic is the same one you have
Hope this helps

SOURCE: How do you clean Patton Floor fan?

The grill is in two halves with the back half attached to the motor. The front with the round patton insignia removes easily by applying leverage with a screwdriver. There are eight spots (at least on mine) where it clips. Be sure to remove any disposable plastic fastener holding the two halves together. Its pretty easy.

SOURCE: Cleaning

After you have the front cover off, you'll see the center screw cap that holds the blade on. Simply unscrew it...BUT, typically you would unscrew a nut by turning it counter-clockwise. Instead, this cap is threaded the opposite way, so you have to twist it off turning clockwise.

After you have the screw cap off the blade slips off and you'll see that the back has a screw cap also (or at least my model does). It has regular threads so it screws off counter-clockwise and then you can slip the back off.

Its very easily done and requires no tools to do. Hope that helps you....Dan.

Dell inspiron one 2205 touchscreen overheating

Had a similar problem a non-touchscreen 2205 model. The cooling radiator was clogged with dust. You can unplug the power cable, remove the back cover and clean the dust out. I removed the cooling fan and used a toothbrush and vacuum to gently remove the dust matt from blocking the radiator. Use q-tips to gently clean the fan blades as well. Reattach the fan and the computer no longer overheated. By the way, Dell designed the 2205 with not enough ventilation. After cleaning. the CPU idle temperature ran at 39C with the back cover attached and only 29C with the back cover removed. The air flow intake for the cooling fan is taking in warm air due to the Hard drive heat being captured by the back cover.

Guide how to properly clean a dirty fan that overheats in acer aspire notebook

Remove the fan from laptop, and remove the dust build up from the fan blades. Next remove outer cover of fan and clean inner section of fan case. Reattach outer cover of fan case. Next clean surrounding area in laptop and than re insert fan in laptop.

Unless you know how to take a laptop apart and put it together again, I do not recommend trying this.

As for the Playtex Diaper Disposal gene problem I need more information on the problem before I can help with that one.

How do I take the front cover off so that I can clean the blades etc of dust?

You can blow the whole fan clean with compressed air or a compressor. It does not require removing the cover. The cover comes off with a twist and a pull, but does not stay on well afterwards, so I don't recommend removal. Farmerbear at FixYa.com

Lasko 3520 20-Inch Cyclone fan - disassemble fan for cleaning?

How do I clean my Cyclone or Air Companion™?
Lay the fan face up on a flat surface. The front grill should be facing you. Remove the screws from the rear grill. Place a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the front and rear grills. Pull the front grill towards you, exposing the fan blade. Do not remove the knobs on either side. Then, wipe the blade with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary. Be sure not to touch the motor. Click here to download product instruction sheet.

Removing ceiling fan blades

Wait? Why would you want to remove the blade? Are they broken? Is the fan unbalanced? Try cleaning the blade. If the fan still wobbles, try tightening the screws. If the fan still wobbles, Unscrew the blade and unconnect the blade from blade iron. Buy the new blade iron. If the blade is broken, Also buy the new blade.

FAN MODEL# 1010 MP

Hello

This would seem to be the motor heating up and cutting out on a thermal overload. Check to see if the motor area is clean and that the fan blades are clean. To clean the motor you can blow compressed air through it. To clean the blades disassemble the cover remove the blade and clean with a mild soapy solution.

Cleaning

On the backside of the fan at the botton is a little screw cover. Remove the cover then remove the screw. On the backside top of the fan right under the handle are two screws remove both of them. Gently pry the sides apart, about half way down on both sides are two molded clips, you can use a small flat blade screw driver to help seperate the cover.
