I have fogotten how to setup the Speedstream 2624 as an access point in a wireless network. I am not using it as a router but would like to use it as a printer server with a different router acting as DHCP, Can I do this?

Use an Ethernet cable to connect a desktop/laptop computer to the router. Then, using the PC, you can "configure" the "wireless" capability of the router, and you can establish an SSID and a password. Then, configure your iPhone to _use_ that SSID & password to connect.

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router .
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then connect 1 computer to the router and open the router set up page. Once you open the router set up page, you will be able to find the wireless network key.

Hi! There will be a problem with the wireless connection. I suggest before you go to windows 7, check at your router website if there is a new update for the firmware for windows 7.

1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL
3. Enter the router setup login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WAP2
7. For further secutity measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable and the computers should be able to connect to the router.

If you have a good IP address, re-boot the router. If your address starts with 169., then you don't have a good IP address.

You probably have set up some kind of security, and this is where I cant help you as I cant get into your router.

But, when you connect to your router to find out, USE A CABLE, do NOT connect wireless.

You may also find the wireless setup in your dell 6000, but you password and key code will most likely bee a row af stars.

you have to configer your router are you using dsl or cabel inter net
cabel you dont need to set in log on but dsl you do
