Handsfree mute will not turn off - NorStar M7208 Corded Phone

If handsfree is enabled on your telephone, any line or intercom button activates the handsfree, if you press the handsfree button after selecting the line then the button activates handsfree mute, Press the handsfree mute button again to un-mute the line.

I think there is no wire called mute wire. Mute can be applied only through the device.

yes the yellow wire is mute and needs to be connected to the mute on the back of your radio.

umm on what? your phone, your puter....sounds like a mute function

sounds as if you will need your vendor to program your phone and others that need be to have Handsfree/mute capabilities.. i assume since you can not mute then you can not place your phone on Handsfree either.

Yellow wire connects to the music mute wire on the back of the car stereo (usually brown). This will mute the stereo when the hands free is in use!

The button for handsfree is the same button for Mute.
So when you are on the handsfree call, press the handsfree button again and the call is muted on your side.

To talk again, press the handsfree button to un-mute the call, then press it again to mute your call.

To hang up press the orange RLS button.

The button that mutes the speakerphone is the mic/HFAI key located above your speaker button. The mic mute feature works while using the speaker, when the phone is idle it works as the handsfree answerback intercom.

look for a mute button on the phone... i presume she is using a handsfree set... if it's bluetooth i believe you can mute it on the headset.
