How to Fix A Whirlpool Washer Model:Duet that gives you an F20 Error Code.

F20 is a No Water Detect error.
It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following:

* If you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:
- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.

* If you HAVE water filling the wash tub, check the following:

as far as i can remember f20 means an outflow problem. On whitegoods.co.uk all machine faults are explained. Error codes can be quite vague and f20 could mean your pump has stopped functioning, you outflow pipe is kinked or you have an internal blockage.

"F20" error code is a No Water Detected error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all due to low pressure. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following:

make sure pump is clear. open toe panel and access pump.

common F20 error requiring an about $35 water valve replaced. You can get parts and manual at repairclinic.com

I believe F20 may point towards a control unit failure.
You could try disconnecting it from the mains supply for a minute and plug it back in.
