I own a sylvania 6626lct and the hdmi worked for about 8 months and now I get no signal. I replaced the HDMI cable and still no signal. I have also tried several sources: Cable Box, PS3, and laptop. I also notice if I have the antenna connected while I am using my PS3 via component cables I get horizontal waves that move up acroos the screen. To solve this I unplugged the antenna.
SOURCE: blue screen with HDMI
The HDMI port might be loose on your TV. I had the same problem. I went to radio shack bought a solder and soldering metal with some flux. I then opened my 37inch Sceptre Naga and aligned the hdmi connectors properly to the board, I then soldered the hdmi port firmly into place. This fixed my blue screen problem.
SOURCE: No display
Well I just joined in the world of broken Samsung's. Died Feb. 1st. I had three month additional warranty, but of course it died the day after. Same problem, no video, just audio.
However if you call 1-800-522-7341. This is the number for Executive Customer Relations. They extended my warranty and contacted the repair center for me. Probably won't be fixed by Superbowl Sunday though. I expressed my disbelief that after 15 months a 2400 set can die. I have to call back on Monday for additional help.
SOURCE: PS3 (Pal) won't connect to Sylvania HD TV
I just figured it out last night - if you have used your playstation on an hd tv previously, it is set at the highest resolution possible - 1080p. You need to take it back to that tv, and go to display settings on your tv. If you select HDMI as they type of connection you'd like to make, it asks you what resolution your tv supports. In your tv instruction guide, it should give you this information. Check mark all of the resolutions your tv supports, making sure not to confuse 1080i and 1080p. After doing this you can take it back to your other television and it should work.
HDMI can be flaky and does not like things to be connected while units are powered up---tv or the unit being connected.
If you hooked up with set on etc the set may not of "seen" this event and refuses to function. I know it sounds odd but I have seen this many times.

I had the same issue brand new outa the box hooking up to a PS3. returned it back to Sears and took the 15% restocking fee. Called Sylvania and they said that it's a Sony issue.
