go to a local salvage yard like pick and pull or u pick it and ask if they have a switch and you can usually get them for 20 or 30 bucks. that is the cheapest way to repair the bad switch

I recently accidently dropped my 602 in water and managed to take out all the aa sized batteries out of the camera with the exception of the internal battery which I could not access shaking out all of the water I left my camera to dry out for three days then I tried it to see if it worked but the was dead is there anything else I can do to revive my 602 other than taking it to get fixed and finding out that I have to discard my camera
The moror mechanisn is very fine - it takes little to damage it- a simple bump, other bits 'n pieces in the pocket.
Check out Olympus - but I reckon - new camera.
If you drop it this it is one of two:
1) A hardware component in your Camera is broken and need to be replaced.
2) A small power surge caused the camera Controller not to be recognized.
You should send it to maintenance as soon as possible to determine what exactly happened.
