I have a toshiba prjection tv with no remote,i have a mydarkweb 6 device universal remote how do i get the codes so this remote works this tv ?

The directions for programming a television remote like the CT-90121 will be in the manual for the TV that it came with. One such model is the Toshiba 36HFX72. Please note: universal remote code lists are usually limited to devices that were programmed 6 months or more before the universal remote was programmed. Since the 36HFX72's manual has a copyright date of 2002, the CT-90121 may not control devices built in late 2002 or later. I hope this helps.

Which GE universal remote do you have? Does the remote use a 3-digit or a 4-digit code? To program most GE remotes for a TV, turn on the TV. Then press and hold the Code Search or Setup button until the indicator light comes on. Then press and release the TV button. Enter the first code available for your device. The indicator light should go off then check if the remote controls the functions of the TV. Repeat the above steps if the code doesn't work or doesn't control all the features of your TV.

The 3-digit codes are 170, 181 or 641 for Toshiba HDTVs.

Please note that the remote probably only has codes for devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your GE universal remote, you may need a newer remote.

Find the code your device.

1. Press and hold "CODE SEARCH".

2. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button. If programming an AUX position, press and release AUX first and then press the device type to be programmed.

3. Enter the 3-digit code number.

4. Release "CODE SEARCH".

5. With the device on, press another button to test (volume control/power button).If it does not work, repeat steps 1 to 5 with other codes which you have.

follow the below steps to set remote without codes

Code Search:

1. Turn on the device you wish to control.

2. Press and hold "CODE SEARCH".

3. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button. If programming an AUX position, press and release AUX first and then press the device type to be programmed.

4. Release "CODE SEARCH".

5. Press ON/OFF repeatedly until the device turns off.

6. When the device shuts off press and release ENTER.

The model of the TV is not important as the code list is by Make only and usually list 3 ot 6 codes to try for each make. Having the Remote control model number is more important so you can find the right instructions and code for your remote.

Programming Your RCA Universal Remote.

The RCA universal remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with following codes: TV-000, VCR-000, Cable Box-000, and AUX is programmed with VCR code 037. For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.

Most Universals work similar for code search, try this on yours. [list] [1] Manually turn on the device (eg TV) [2] Press & hold Code button until indicator light stays on (or blinks on some) release Search button. [3] Press & release device button (eg TV). The indicator should blink off. [4] Point Remote at device (eg TV). [5] Press the Power button on/off down until the device turns off. [6] Press the ENTER button or OK button to save the code as soon as the device shuts off. (Suggest you have a finger on it for fast response.) Hope this works for you.
