OSX support for Powerbooks is VERY sloppy. Try installing the iP90 in "Classic" (OS9.2.2) instead. 922 has built-in drivers for every port on Powerbooks. OSX can't even load a SCSI card on laptops. Or iRda, or any USB above 1.1 etc.... very shabby. Apple was sued for "abandoning" Powerbook support with OSX and LOST a BIG class action. Alternatively, partition your HD with TWO operating systems, and load 9.2.2 as a boot option (with OSX as the other). OSX is "emulating" 922, but this method allows OS922 to "run itself". It is MUCH faster (boots in 10 seconds, compared to MINUTES for OSX) and your iP90 will work on USB or irDa -both! 922 will only need a 700mb partition at least... OSX needs 4gb or more (to accomplish far less, far slower)
A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by
resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer
from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and
re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns
on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again
once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on
the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).
If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

Delete the Lexmark print object.

Reboot your pc.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print/scan again.

I can't get the installer to install the drivers. It goes through all the steps of installation, even prompting me to restart my Powerbook. Yet, I still do not get the iP90 as an option when I go to print a doc. And the Printer Utility cannot "find" new printers! Help!
