First off, the temp adjustment can only be made by a trained service tech, since the dishwasher will need to be reprogrammed to allow for a lower temperature in the rinse cycle but still have the higher temp needed in the wash cycle. Also, since any change in the water temp settings will require a longer wash and rinse cycle to be programmed into the unit.

Of course, you could simply lower the water temp on the water heater that supplies water to this unit, but you'd have lower temp water elsewhere and likely get cited at the next heatlh department inspection on that issue.

Since this is a commercial dishwasher, you might want to reconsider lowering the temp, since health codes and standards for commercial establishments require a MINIMUM water temperarture of 185 degrees F (85 degrees C) for proper operation and to get all the crud off the dishes, etc.

Note, the manufacturer sets these units to the higher temp, 203 degree F (95 degree C) knowing that the water will cool down quickly once the wash cycle starts and the water contacts the dishes, etc. That is also why these units have a added heater element, to help keep the water at the correct temperature needed to both clean AND sanitize the dishes, according to established health standards.

If you really want to change the water temp settings, contact your Hobart service rep and explain the reason you want it lower and see what they say.

Hope you found this very helpful and best regards!

What is normal operating temperature for 2002 honda vtr1000f

normal operating temp for any engine is 85 C to 95 C
thermostat starts to open at 85C and is fully open at 95 C allowing full coolant circulation through the radiator
Fans start at around 85C
On most temp gauges this about 1/2 a gauge dial 85 C is the optimum temp for a internal combustion engine to operate at and thermostats are designed to try and maintain that temp

Why does the dishwasher smell hot?

Most do. When the dishwasher is operating, they can get to around 85 to 95 degrees which is far hotter than usual sink hand washing temps. The insulation and liners on the cabinet of the dishwasher give off a "hot" smell when they get to full temperatures.

There is a temp booster on that unit. A rinse temp of 190 is not out of the range of specifications. If it is too hot, you should adjust the incoming water temp

Dishwasher running hot

it sounds like the thermostat on the rinse tank is set too high, if you drop the panel on the bottom front of the dishwasher, you will see the rinse tank, usually on the l/h side, its normally a cylindrical shape, the hermostat is normally connected to this, usually there is an adjustable shaft on the stat, it might have numerical markings on it i.e 0 to 90 degs . MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF TO THE UNIT !!, THIS IS CRITICAL FOR TOUR SAFETY!!. if your unsure get a proffesional to repair it . shouldnt be too expensive , hope this helps .p.s if you do have a go the rinse temp should be between 75 and 85 degrees c .

How do I turn up the water temperature on a Marathon 85 gallon electric water heater? I don't see any visible temperature control settings.

The temperature is controlled on the thermostats in the tank. They are under the two covers you see on the outside of the tank. There is an upper and lower thermostat. Make sure you shut off the power before you begin. Remove the cover and peel back the insulation covering the thermostat. Use a flat head screwdriver to adjust temp. There should be a pointer showing the temp its on now. They are probably set at 120 degrees. WARNING--turning your hot water temp above this point can cause scalding and burning in less than 3 seconds. You may have a burnt out lower element. This link below should help you

This is the manual to your tank. Good luck.

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.
