SOURCE: Bolens riding lawnmower st100 pto won't engage?

I think Mickey813's answer is correct. On the ST series mowers, there are 2 safety interlock switches that will either prevent the PTO from engaging or kill the engine once the PTO switch (or clutch) is engaged. One of these switches has likely gone bad or the wiring came loose. Oddly, on my ST120, I completely removed the seat safety switch and the 2 wires are disconnected and everything runs fine. If I directly connect them, the clutch or PTO kills the engine when they are engaged. Once when my PTO wasn't engaging, I temporarily bridged the 2 wires with a jumper, started the engine, then engaged the PTO (which killed the engine). After that, once I removed the jumper, the PTO would work like normal again each time I engaged the switch. It's like I reset it somehow by jumping these 2 wires temporarily. Hope that helps...

Stiga park lawnmower

Are you certain it is a fuel problem and not electrical? Remove fuel line right before it enters carburetor, turn mower over and see if fuel is pumping out. If not, check for any foreign material in fuel tank where fuel exits the tank to the fuel line. You can do this by blowing pressured air into fuel tank and observe if fuel is coming out of end of fuel line. Check for clogged fuel filter.

Craftsman riding lawnmower won't bag grass

A very common problem since mowers were made noise compliant, to collect grass you need draught, this is produced by putting a large wing on the ends of the blades and having a high engine speed, unfortunatly large wings and high engine speeds mean high noise, so today the wings are very small and the engine revs low, this leads to low draught and grass blockage, you need to keep the under side of the deck clean and free from old grass clippings, make sure the machine is fitted with collection blades, not mulch blades, i cannot tell you to increase the engine revs, however if for some unknow reason the engine were to start reving higher it would help.
