SOURCE: Denon AVR 1609 Receiver Zone 2 has no sound

you have to change the power amp assignment to zone 2, you must also have Analog audio connections to the Denon from your devices.
Try this put your remote in the zone 2 mode, select tuner in zone 2 and turn zone 2 volume up to -10

SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V3800 receiver zone two audio problems

To get audio with this set up also hooked up analog audio RCA cables for the audio for each piece of equipment for 2 channel out put. Zone 2 will not out put a digital signal and this receiver will not down convert a audio signals to analog if using digital audio hook-ups.

SOURCE: Zone 2 speakers only work with the tuner - no

hi,

zone 2 will only work with analog sources so if your dvd, cable and other devices are connected via HDMI, that alone won't work. What you need to do is hook up RCA (red and white) cables from the dvd player to dvd in of the receiver and same thing for your satellite box (and other sources.) no need to change any setting on the receiver. This way, the HDMI will take care of your main room speakers and the RCA will feed your zone 2 speakers.

Hope this helps.

No sound out of left channel pioneer vsx1123k

Make sure that you have analogue stereo sources (red & white phono/RCA) connected to any input that you want to have routed to Zone 2.

Check your speaker connections for Zone 2: Correct sockets, and make sure the wires are connected properly and there's no little strands bridging between the black and red terminals on the amp or at the speaker ends.

That's about it.

If there's no sound on one channel then it's most likely to be either a bad speaker/speaker cable connection, or a broken source cable. Try the FM/AM radio (hook up an aerial temporary). That'll be guaranteed to be either stereo or at least dual mono so both channels should work.

My Onkyo TX-SR506 plays cable and CD inputs to zone 2, but DVD won't play. Everything is connected according to the manual and I assigned zone 2 output correctly. What gives?

How are your cable and cd inputs hooked up? Analog connections? Alot of receivers cannot send an audio signal from hdmi inputs to zone 2.

Semantics maybe, but sources are INputs. OUTputs are speakers, audio to other devices.

A DVD is always an INPUT.

So what's different? IOW, how are the DVD and Projector (Really? It uses a video OUTput) connected for audio? Have you looked at the manuals? Digital sources must be assigned, for example.

Connecting outdoor speakers thru satellite box

go audio out of you sat box into a 2 channel amp or into your surround receiver if you have a 2nd zone, if the surround receiver is 7.1 u can most likely hook them up to the surround back and then change the setting to be a 2nd zone instead of surr back hope this helps.

I have the Onkyo HT-S5100, the 5 speaker are set

also, you might have to search through the menu of the receiver, and set the surround back speakers to be zone 2 instead of using the 7.1 configuration that is probably default.

i think zone 2 will only play sources that are hooked up with analog connects, ie. red/white cables. try using the radio to see if it works. you might have to hook up your cable/sat box, cd player, dvd player, whatever you have that you want to listen to with both digital and analog cables to get everything to work right.

Zone 2 connections

go into your amp settings menu then to speaker settings, set zone 2 on and main on, turn up the volume for zone 2 about half way then connect phono cables from zone 2 pre out to a input on the external amp (eg cd input )
never use the phono input this is for turntables, connect this amp to your speaker switch/selector then to speakers.

hope this helps
