Check your vent and duct system. It may be clogged and the air will not flow out if this is true. How long has it been since you replaced your vent ducting begind the dryer? They don't make them like they used to so the longer you can keep this one, the better off you'll be. Hope this helps you! We have parts! Ella

What does moisture monitor do

It measures the dampness of the clothing by delivering a very low powered electrical charge through the drum. The wet laundry conducts the charge telling the sensor that it is still damp. As the clothing dries the charge is conducted less and less until finally the sensor indicates no moisture.

Unit will start and then shut off after 5 or 10 min

If this dryer has moisture sensing strips inside the drum I would clean them good with windex. As wet clothes rub against them the dampness tells the control to continue. If buildup from dryer sheets cause a barrier then the control will think them clothes is dry.

No matter what settin the dryer is on my clothes will only get a little warm, but won't dry. It won't heat up as usual.Had a load in there for a few hours yesterday. They are still damp. When dry clothes...

You vent could be the problem. Snow blocking the vent can cause the dryer heat to shut down rapidly. Make sure your vent is open to the outside. Get some windex and clean them moisture sensors inside the machine. If a film developes on them then moisture cannot be detected by the control. It might think the clothes are dry and shut her down.
