Kawasaki kxf 250 is leaking oil from the back of the front sprocket how hard is it to fix problem

You're problemme is the counter shaft seal is leaking....this is the seal right behind the front sprocket....i tough there is also a inner o-ring on that model that you shall have to change...thank you for leaving good feedback.

The sprocket sholdn't contain any oil. Its probably the brakes or your shocks/dampers. It needs to be replaced or seals fixed. Confirm what the fluid is prior to repair.

Hi there i have a kxf 250 2004 its hard to start and when it does it back fires alot could it be valves

It could be valves , check all the valve clearances.
also try a new spark plug
and clean the carb
a faulty kill switch can sometimes cause backfire as well

Yes and No, But it does depend on your knowledge. It will mearly be a seal that needs to be replaced. You will need to drain your gearbox oil and remove the cover, chain, sprocket etc etc...If you have no idea it is not worth attempting.
