Problem with a water dripping Air Conditioner.. I bought a New Plasm Aire Conditioner, Model Number: 580.750652500 last year and it was working great. Now this year I installed it and it continues to drip water from the front of the unit all the time and on all the mode settings. What is wrong with it and how can I stop it from dripping?

SOURCE: Problem with a water dripping Air

You need to reposition it to where the rear of the unit is tilted slightly down. So that the water will run down and out the rear.

Need new fan motor comp works where can i get motor the ac is a window unit kenmore plasm aire

Try Sears Beta Parts

Remove the front cover of the window unit to access the model number location.

Yesterday I went to my sisters house. Her ac's fan was not on. I took some side cutters and make a hole big enough to reach inside and turn the condenser fan on the back side of the unit. I added some HVAC oil to the motor. Don't know how long it is gonna work but it is working now.ca02c58.jpg

What is the open air or closed air switch do? --I have an older GE wall air conditioner in an apartment---I hear water gurgling--outside --but there is no dripping--Thanks!

The outside setting is for bringing in the out side air,the closed keeps the air from the ac circulating and closes outside air off.The unit needs to be remove and took out side and cleaned out with a water hose, dirt and debris is keeping it from dripping out side,

Why is water dripping from the overflow quickly

accumulating water is as you assumed - the air conditioner is taking the humidity from the space and the water is nothing other than condensation. I would not worry about it at all.

You need to start worrying if the unit 'doesn't' produce water.

Squirrel cage installation.

If there is strong air flow blowing into the house the sq. cage should be OK. Possibly you need to replace the pads and make sure that the pump is not clogged and is distributing enough water to keep the pads wet.
