If freezer is icing up, you might have a defrost problem. Frost free models have a heating element that is controlled by a timer to automatically defrost ice, defrost timer turns on defrost heating element every 12 hours to melt ice in freezer and allow good air flow.
You can test defrost element with an ohm meter(located inside freezer coils-will have two wires going to a plug connection), if OK replace defrost timer (located in various places depending on make and model

Our Frigidaire frost frost free upright freezer from day one has frost build up on the food inside the packages. The frost is not a problem in the freezer itself, but on the food. Freezer burn occur

Hi Dale Dibb, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that the food inside of your Frigidaire freezer is getting frost on the inside of the packages. I would recommend turning the temperature up inside of your freezer. Additionally moisture inside of the package would cause frost to develop on the inside of the food packages.

Please assure that all possible moisture has been removed out of the food packages prior to placing the items inside of the freezer. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to reconnect! -Matt

GE GTS22KHP refrigerator - fridge is warm, freezer seems cold and is making ice. When the fridge was getting warm, we checked the freezer and some of the food in the door of the freezer was starting to...

With 'no-frost' fridgerators, they enter a 'defrost' cycle that is supposed to elimnate any frost. There are a few suspect parts, but it should be 1 of 2 parts. The timer that controls when it enters the 'defrost' cycle is occuring too often, or more likely, there is a thermostat that overrides the timer once the temp on the cooling coils (not freezer) reaches, say 55 degrees and commands the freezer to resume cooling.... I bought a themostat off amazon for $26 and put it in and no longer have my ice tray frozen solid after prolonged defrosting. Google 'no-frost' fridge how it works...

Food not totally frozen, icecream melted

if it a frost free freezer then chances are it is a defrost hearter, fan motor or defrost timer
if it is not frost free then it will either be the compressor or a gas leak ( which should be under warranty)

Maytag Fridge (Model # MZD2766GEW) not cooling

Check to see if you have frost on the back panel of your freezer in your fridge. If you do your coil is frozen over and you'll have to defrost your freezer. I just did mine cause mine wasn't cooling properly on my fridge side.

My frost free fridge freezer is set to high and still only gets down to about 11c and is usually at about 15c

You may have ice blocking the opening in which your freezer air passes through to go into there refrigerator .Try this, unplug the refrigerator for for at least 14 hours ,that should allow all of the ice to melt. Then ,plug it back in and take the temperature of both freezer and fresh food sides. You should find a temperature that will hold at or very close to Zero degrees in your freezer side.Start with this for your first step in repairing this and get back to me.
