Check that the page size in your application is set to the same size as the paper tray in the printer. e.g. make sure their both set to A4 or whatever size is relevant for your country of origin.
Most printers will default to the MP tray if the page sizes don't match.
Regards.
I have had a similar problem with M2825DW version of the Samsung printer. It seemed that once the "empty paper tray" warning has been set it only goes away once a sheet has been successfully printed via the bypass tray. When happen to me nothing else cleared the fault!
Hello sir; Check the paper tray, when you close it dose the tray lifting up, on the tray both side, I believe there have two little wheel when slide in it will push this two wheel to lift up the paper, check it up dose it cloke.
Go into Windows settings, devices, printers. Select correct printer and choose printing preferences. Click "paper tab", then choose "paper source" and choose either "auto select" or "Tray 1" . Then click "advanced". Choose "Tray1" for " load first page from". click save and exit
Samuel A pointed me in the right direction, but I had to do more to fix the problem on my ML-3312ND. For some reason, the menu setting for Tray 1 (the main paper tray) paper had been changed from "Letter" to "Legal". No idea how that happened, and Tray 1 isn't big enough for Legal paper. This caused a problem when I went to print a Letter size document, because the printer was set for Legal paper in Tray 1. So, it automatically switched to the MP tray for manual insertion of a Letter Size sheet.
Here's how I fixed the problem: 1. Press the Menu Button 2. Scroll right to "3. Paper" and OK 3. Scroll right to "Tray 1" and OK 4. Press OK for "Paper Size" 5. Scroll left or right to "Letter" 6. Press OK, and exit menu.

Power the printer off, make sure all the trays are all closed properly, then power it back up again. Your printer is fine, the error will stop after restarting it in a full circle.
"MP tray" refers to the manual paper tray. This is the common setting for most word processors whenever printing media other than paper. This message will come not only for labels, but for transparencies, card stock, envelopes, etc. The reason for this is that the manual paper tray is designed to provide a straighter paper path that helps preventing your labels from peeling inside the unit. Therefore, I do not recommend placing them in the regular paper tray. Take note that you should also check that the labels purchased specify they are meant for laser printer or copier. Regular labels, or labels designed for inkjet printers will surely come off inside your printer and cause damage that the warranty will not cover.

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps.Bud
Its asking for you to put some paper in the tray at the side of the printer. There is a small hatch on the right hand side which will turn in to a paper tray when pulled open. Put in the paper and it will print. You will then have to disable that tray to prevent it happening again.
