Please follow the below steps to solve the problem that you have mentioned :-
Check if the sound driver has been installed in your system, you can check this by going in the control panel's sound and audio devices option , if you find all options disabled and it reads no playback devices and no recording devices, then you have no sound driver installed. Therefore in this case you would require to install your sound driver using your motherboard cd.
If you see your sound driver is installed in the audio options of the control panel and you also see the sound driver's name , then you need to check the volume in the volume settings to check if it has not been muted accidentally , if it has been muted , then please un mute it and things should work fine.
A good idea would be use a headset and plug it into your motherboard in the slot where the speakers output is received , mostly the green round slot.
If you have a front head phone option then you can try using it as well, if the headphone or headset works fine, then we are sure about two , things that the driver is installed successfully and there is a sound output from the audio output slots.
Now, when you have checked the sound via headsets then you need to make sure that you are connecting your speakers in the green slot or the same slot which is working for headsets, remember headsets can be used to check the output in the back panel of your cabinet as well as front panel of your cabinet.
Also check if there is any fuse in your speaker which has blown up so that you can replace it and it would start working, check the power cables and confirm they are not properly connected.
If the speakers work fine , then it's all ok , but if they don't you need to replace the speakers by checking them with your friend's pc or any other audio output device. Hope his helps.
there's a huge chance that the headset that you have is already damaged. either its speakers or its cord. try using other headset, if the problem is the same, it can be the headset port (where you insert the headset jack). try moving it while its plugged see if the sound changes. if its the headset, replace it, if its not, bring the phone to a local technician so that they can replace the earphone slot. =)
Well in this case you need to include also the infomation of your computer like brand , model and Operating system because the problem is not with the headset. Otherwiseyou can checkthesettingsright throughControlPanel-Sound then Playback and Recording configuration
Hi
i am using motorola S9 for last one year. I had the same problem of controls keys which i have corrected of my own.
Most of the sites i read say's this problem is due to the moisture. Let me tell its not because of moisture.
Below steps will help you guys hopefully if its only the keys control problem.
Take the headset,The control keys are placed near the ear plugs within a area which is different from the other part.
now what u have to do is just take some sharp thing or your nails enough and move it around the control keys area (edges) and peel off the rubber layer carefully. Please note its very soft rubber so be careful not tear it off else it will be spoiled completely.
After u remove this layer u wll find layer of plastic attached to the rubber whichh u took out and the same kind on the base. you will fin ther will be small vertical lines and center one dot on the peeled out rubber and on base horizontal 2-3 thin lines at the edges and dot at the centre.
actually thes are the contacts which acts as a switch if u observe it would have been covered with the rubber kind of gum used to stick thes layers.
Just clean these (only)contacts area with piece of cloth and use some rubber kind of glue (Do not use Feviquik it will spoil the strips completely) at edges and put it back ,b4 fixing it gum u can test it by just keeping it and check if the keys are working then fix every thing as it was b4 and stick the peeled out rubber panel with the same type of glue.
there u are ur problem is solved enjoy the best music experirnce with your S9.
If u have any problem or Queries please post it i wll try to answer as soon as possible.
if u want a video for this i wll b up loading it soon and post d link.

These trouble shooting suggestions where taken from here. There are more things they suggest trying but this cutout pertains to your problem more so than other suggestions. If these do not work I would recommend reading through that guide.
Noise or Feedback:
A screeching noise when you talk you are experiencing feedback. Turning your TV down should help.
Loweringthe headset volume can also help. Go to Accessory Settings/ AudioDevice Settings (where you test your headset) and you can set the micvolume there. Level 3 is a good start. If people have trouble hearingyou then you should raise to Level 4 or Level 5.
Ifyou hear an echo when you talk try turning the earpiece volume down onthe headset. Many BT headsets have their own volume control.
Also, while the PS3 is compatible with almost any Blue tooth 2.0 headset, I have heard of of problems like this occurring where the headset had to be replaced by a different model to solve the problem. As far as I know this is the only headset guaranteed to work by Sony.
I figured out how to remove the headphone clip without causing cosmetic
damage to the headphone casing. Unfortunately for me, this was after I
had scratched up the casing already. Anyway, to avoid the cosmetic
damage, use some kind of plastic tool, like a plastic spoon. After
pulling off the headphone cushion, you will see the aforementioned 4
slots. Carefully slip the handle end of the spoon underneath one of the
slots(not through them), and apply gentle pressure toward the center of
the speaker. Do this for each of the 4 slots, and the tabs should
easily come loose. Hope that helps. As for figuring out how to get the
headphone to work, I'm waiting for that solution myself. The right
headphone is out, but the left one works, none of the wires are loose,
so the damage must be from my nephew being careless with the headset
cable, and probably tugging on it once too often. Don't let your 15
year olds use your headsets, if they tend to be clumsy :)
