My screen is broken so i cant see anything but it still plays. problem is its stuck on radio and i cant get to my songs. if i turn it off and then back on how do i get to my songs?

There may be a hair stuck in the sled transport gear (the sled is the part of the mechanism that moves the laser assembly and tracks the the song as it plays)

Try a "hard reset".
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to shut off.
With the device off, press and hold the vol + and the center select button.
Power it back on, see if that works.

Does the battery need replacing? My screen is cracked and it appears the battery discharges quicker than normally.
For now, I check the voltage on my rechargeables before installing them so that I know they are good.
Try putting one song on to see if that will play?
