Does not power up

I have replaced the caps on the DM board and still have issues. I plug the TV in and the power lamp blinks green like normal and then goes off. I push the power button to turn the TV on and it goes steady green but the TV does not appear to be powering up. The fan on top of the chassis is the only fan on that I can tell. I ran the diagnosis and it comes up with 12 "no issues". What could be the problem? After someone replied to my last issue it was looking like a DM board failure but now I don't know. The symptoms changed. Also if I push the power button to turn the tv off the green lamp goes off imeadiatly. It used to flash for a short period of time.

Yes. They looked fine. I have had all the boards out of the chassis and none of the caps have the tops pop up. If the power supply was the problem would the tv still give me a code 12 in the diagnostics?

Mitsubishi green blinking light of death

Hi Jim,

Green blinking light of death on Mitsubishi DLP TV means that the DM failed to booted up. I would advice you to replaced the 7 1000uf electrolytic capacitor on the DM board. Most of the time it fixed the symptoms. Please inquire at tvrepairworld.com if they have an available DM repair kit for V36 chassis (WD-57733 chassis).

solution

I had a similar problem. I had a 52" RCArear projection tv. It would do this when I initially turned on the television, but then after a few "on/off, on/off, on/off" cycles it would stay on. Eventually it started doing it more; until finally there was a spark and that was it. The tv was dead. The bloggers called it "the blinking green light of death" (because of green light on the panel). The power board is going out.ALSO holding down the Input and Menu buttons afterward will give you some diagnostic information via 2 sets of blinking indicator lights.

You may very well have issues with capacitors on this set being that it is or very similar to the V26 chassis. Since I have spare test lamps laying around, I would normally try that first. If the lamp still would not stay lit, I would then suspect the electrical chassis (capacitors). When I suspect the chassis, I can usually verify it by pulling it out and partially disassemble it and find blown capacitors

I have one of thos green blinking light and NO

The lamp light would be solid red if the lamp were out. The steady blinking green led is usually caused by failed capacitors on the DM board. You can get the V26 dm repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which should repair that issue. The kit contains the capacitors and the CD with detailed instructions.

Green power light keeps blinking

hi friend,
Repairing It Yourself
If you decide to repair the TV yourself, I recommend that you obtain a copy of the repair manual for your Mitsubishi TV from the Techlore website by going to Mitsubishi Service Manual. It will provide some direction, however it is technically written and may be difficult for the NOVICE to understand. If you are unable to locate the the service manual for your specific Model at the above Techlore link, you may need to purchase the service manual online at ServiceManuals.net.
If you decide to have a service technician do the repair, insist that the "DM" module is removed from the TV and ONLY the four 1000uF, 16V Capacitors (Caps) located on the DM Module are replaced. MOST techincians will INSIST on replacing the entire DM Module and not simply the capacitors. The cost is about $200 for a technician to replace the capacitors and $1000 for replacement of the DM Module. As you will read below, doing the repair yourself will cost less than $4.00 for the 4 Caps.
A Few "Cautions"
  1. Keep yourself "grounded" when working with the circuit board. Static electricity will destroy electronic components.
  2. When replacing the Capacitors, press them "down" onto the circuit board as far as they will go, hold them down, solder into place and clip the excess terminal lengths flush with solder. Only by doing this will the metal shield (little silver box) slide down and over the circuit board during re-assembly. There is not a lot of clearance when doing this, as the 105C Capacitors are slightly longer that the originals. With minimal effort everything does fit back together.
  3. Use ONLY 105º C capacitors with a voltage rating of 35 V.
  4. Re-insert the DM circuit board into the Mother board; press virmly and ensure a proper seat of the DM board. Next, slide the metal case down and over the DM circuit board. Refer to my "Lesson Learned."
Basic Troubleshooting
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.
  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.
  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.
  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.
  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.
  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.
Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:
  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

WD 62725 Timer geen light keeps blinking

Here is how you fix the problem. Turn off the power to your TV for 10 seconds, then turn on. Next, take a paperclip and push in the reset button for 10 seconds, then release and wait until the light stops blinking - may take up to 5 minutes - be patient. Then turn on your TV as normal and your problem will be fixed.

Have mitsu model # ws-65813 wont turn on

You have a common problem in the DM (Digital Module), more specifically the DM power supply. There are four electrolytic caps in that supply 16v/1000uf that are bad and likely buldged from heat stress. Replacing these caps and the E2P module, a small stand-up board further back on the main DM board should restore normal operation...
You might be lucky enough to have a tech come out and simply replace those caps in-home. It's not a really big job for a qualified tech.
Hope this helps!
