Sidekick 3 when i put my at&t sim card in it says i have to wait 48 hours to activate it

You need to hold the menu button and the l key on your keyboard and the screen will clear and you will be able to call & text

Menu on it's own doesn't work - it will take you to the "emergency call" screen. You need to press "menu" + "L" to bypass the activation screen.

no that isnt what it should do .
Right when you turn on the phone with
your at&t sim card it should ask for an
unlock code.

There is a way to bypass this screen. I will charge 6 dollars in paypal for a solution. My email is [email protected] for payment

Have you tried calling tmobile and getting them to check that the sidekick activation pack is on. I had this problem although, i didnt try calling the phone its the best thing to do to call them. i waited 24 hours and they checked and the shop had not put the service pack on. the lady helped and activated it, it was all working within a few minutes. Hope i helped!

press menu and L....that should fix it

Try a master reset.

1. Remove the battery and the SIM card from the device.
2. Flip the sidekick open; press and hold the letter 'r' on the keypad.
3. While holding the letter 'r', place the battery back in the device. DO NOT INSERT THE SIM CARD YET.
4. The sidekick will restart itself twice. Please make sure not to let the letter 'r' go until it has fully rebooted.
5. Once it has fully rebooted, remove the battery, re-insert the SIM card and battery and power up the device.
6. Once the device has fully rebooted, all prior information should be erased from the device and it should be restored back to the default factoy settings.

Push Menu + L at the same time. It may take more then once. This speeds up the activation.

To speed up activation, hit menu + L at the same time.
