Psp won't connect to internet

Hello, This is a common fault with Sony consoles such as the PS3 & PSP.
It is an internet connection issue, which can most commonly be solved by restoring the default system settings and then re-entering your connection details.

if it is saying DNS error it is not a problem with the PSP, most likely a setting with your wireless router. or a problem with teh internet at the time of trying. check wireless settings on the PSP and make sure it has a number listed for DNS server.

a DNS server stands for domain name service. The DNS server translatesnames from IP addresses. The internet sees IP addresses such as 209.235.250.53 but the DNS server provided by your ISP translates it for you into fixya.com. You should be able to aquire the DNS server information from your internet provider (ISP) hope this helps.

you are typing in an incorrect address, DNS stands for Domain Name Server, meaning the address you typed was not listed.

Well first off have you a wireless router int he location you are trying to connect from? IF so make sure you configure the connection under settings

I've had the same problem, cant connect my psp at school, most likely in your case its the same reason as mine, The schools I.P. address is locked and you need a password to access it.

Error code : (80410418)
- The PSP is unable to obtain IP address.
+ Check your router's firewall if its blocking the PSP.
+ Turn off the proxy in the PSP.

Check those and tell me whether still the problem exists

ok solution:
click inafacture mode in network settings.
new connection > scan > now look for internet wchich has no security > choose it > then click left arrow > then choose easy and go to the save settings, save,test connection. IT WILL SAY YOUR INFO AT THE END AND THEN YOU CLICK CIRCLE GO TO INTERNET BROWSER AND ENJOY
IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG TRY AGAIN IN DIFFERENT PLACES.
it should work.
