The temperature in the classroom is to hot. Turn down the
temperature in the classroom or get a small fan and place it near the
projector. The projector is running at border line and just needs a few
degrees of cooling...

It's not the adapter because if it was that one, the picture wouldn't show up at all or some colors would be missing, something like that.
You can try to adjust the brightness on the external display. I'm not quite sure how to this, but if you don't know how to do it post a comment here and I will get back to you with instructions.

make sure the resolution matches. it uses 640x480 native, but onlygoes up to 1280x768.

maybe you need make a configuration in settings f2 or f12 to avaliable the vga port out

I#m presuming you're using a laptop. You need to switch the VGA output on. On a Dell it's Fn + F8. You can probably right click on the Desktop>Properties and set it up there

i think you problem is that the s-vhs output on the labtop is not enabled.

My old labtop needed restart with the projector on, and also had a switch to set in the bios.

So take a look in you manual for the labtop.

Have you tryed the projector on a dvd player or something like that, just to bee sure the projector works fine?
