I called Kodak last night, they told me to turn the camera off, then remove the batteries and the memory card then wait ten seconds then reinstall both. Then turn the camera back on.... IT WORKED~ try it!!

After recording with a full new battery (and the old one) the power just shuts off after about 15 min. Why?

The camcorder will shut off (i.e. go into "sleep" mode) after a few minutes of inactivity - to save your battery, particularly when your battery is at half or lower.
I find that my (fully charged) battery lasts only about 30 minutes (or less, if I use the zoom a lot, or, I use the filming (night) light, or I do not put the lens cover on when not in use, or I do not close the LCD display screen). I'll usually power off after completing my shots.
I keep a close watch on the battery meter and switch batteries as soon as it shows a red bar. (Just give it a minute to wrap-up before shutting down). I usually carry a couple of extra charged batteries. A larger (after market) battery that I bought lasted a hour or so, but it didn't hold a charge well after a couple of weeks of use.

The rechargeable batteries last for about 1 min this is after being charged all night. what should i do? where is the reset button?

Rechargeable batteries do have a life, and it can be shortened with misuse. Order a new battery. Make sure to charge it completely before you ever use it. The first time you use it make sure you drain it completely before recharging it. This is vital to giving your new battery a good life.

Charged battery but wont turn on

When you plugged in the battery did the red light flash? If it did that means your battery doesn't work anymore and you need a new one. This happened to me, and I bought a new one from best buy. It costs about $50. Hope this helps!

Charged my phone last night and will not turn on this morning

Thats what my phone does when the battery is dead. perhaps it did not charge last night. see if the phone will turn on while connected to the charger. if so, the battery is dead or defective.

Kodak EasyShare Z760 won't charge.

The problem might be that the battery has developed memory and won't charge further. My first battery used to do that, but then I read that you shouldn't leave the camera on the dock all the time nor keep the battery fully charged all the time because of the problem of developing memory. You might try running the battery completely down by taking pictures until it shuts down. Sometimes when my battery is low the dock won't charge (but goes straight to the red light), but when I run it completely down when I put it on the dock it charges properly. I hope this information helps. :-)

Problem with camera battery

mikeandlenna,
I'm guessing you have had the D80 over a year and past the warranty so you purchased a new battery. If the battery is fully charged and reads partial, check to make sure the contacts are clean (the compartment in the camera might have something on it or hopefully not some corrosion) use a dry q-tip to test and see if anything comes off the contact and on to the q-tip, if that's what it is, then you will be back in business. let me know if that's not it and we can try another route.

My camera wont turn on

YOU MIGHT TRY TO CLEAN THE CAMERA'S BATTERY CONTACTS WITH A PENCIL ERASER.
IF ALL ELSE FAILS, WAS IT BOUGHT ON A CHARGE CARD AND CAN YOU RETURN IT TO THE STORE OR A NEARBY BRANCH STORE? USE THE WARRANTY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

DSC-F707 Digital Camera Problem

I did the same thing. What I found out was that it's very important to charge a lithium battery completely on the first use. You probably took it off the charger too soon. If it's not completely charged on the first use it won't be able to hold any charge.
Sadly, I ended up having to buy another one and try again.
Sorry.
