The Sigma 70-210 f 1:4,5 is an old model, most likely only to be used in manuals focus mode on your Nikon D5x00 camera.
It also needs to be a Nikon version.
Only the Nikon camera's with the LCD screens on top to the right, like D80, D90, D7x00, D300 and above have a focus motor build in, so old AF lenses can be used in AF modes.
did you clean all contacts? never use anything sharp in or closet to a camera. To clean contacts in a camera and on the batteries, just use a dry cloth and a cotton swab. My 20 year old camera's (same brand and a canon) still work as the first day I used them. they are always stored dry and without a battery, when I don't use the for a longer period.
Recheck the manual (yes most manuals from Nikon are still online) if you did setup the camera correct.
Nikon makes or has made several different 105mm 1:2.8 lenses, including an AF-S model and an AF-D model, as well as older manual-focus varieties. Somewhere on the lens it will say "Nikon" or "Nikkor" along with "105mm" and "1:2.8". There should be additional text along with that. Your best bet is to include all of that in your description of the lens.
The model AF-1 did not have remote focus feature. It does have the Auto-Focus feature. The auto-focus adjustment is a pretty "fine-tune" adjustment that requires a factory alignment tool & a trained hand. Your model AF is quite old, and probably requires replacement of the "link" that connects the slide change solenoid to the slide change mechanism. The problem is the plastic the "link" was made of gets brittle over the years and cracks, rendering slide change non-functional. Both problems are easily remedied by a qualified repair dealer with the tools, training and parts.
In the quality option... select 2040x1356 (the A4 print).
I myself also have a casio camera and i take all my pictures at the highest availible quality. While this is not the size u want to email pics at... You can always reduce the file size on your computer, but you can never add quality. While it may take more space on my mem card it is worth it, it is like the old saying about dressing warmly... you can always peel layers off....
