That could be the Speaker Phone button. This turns on the speaker and microphone so you don't need to use the handset during a call. This should be the large button at the bottom right of the keypad for the Leboss HCD3588TSD. It's at the bottom of the vertical row with the DEL and Flash buttons. (Pictures of the HCD3588TSD L-11 are here: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/leboss-caller-id-telephone-hcd3588tsd-l-11-random-color_3601010-i117537264-s123330779.html .) The phone probably hasn't changed between the L-09E and the L-11.

I hope this helps.

(Note: I can't rule out that the manual covers several models and your specific model doesn't support the hands free option.)

SOURCE: need manual

Given that consumer telephones are inexpensive, the cost of repairing the speaker phone on the 960 (assuming you still have it) is probably not worth it.

Going off of my memory....to program a speed dial you would first press "Program", enter the telephone number you want stored and then press the one of the memory buttons to save the number to. If the number is to be saved on a lower memory position press "Lower" before you press the memory button.

AT&T's telephone product website has a section where user manuals for many AT&T and Lucent branded telephones.

http://telephones.att.com/telephones_ui/support/dsp_manuals_list.cfm

The 960 is no longer listed, but the many of the basic functions are similar to the 922.

How do you program a mute button for the speaker phone? It doen't have an actual mute button. Been doing some online phone meetings and the instuctor keep saying mute the phone.

It depends on what the phone is plugged into. The SP-308 and 616-ex don't have programmable buttons. The 616-Flex and higher, up to the 96ex do. In a Flex, it's based on *40 under a flex button.

I don't know how to set the time and date!

One of the phones in the system is probably going to let you dial PROGRAM **1234 and go into programming. From there you dial 000 and press STORE and set a new date using the FWD or CONF buttons to move between fields and the SP PHONE button to get to the time.. The STORE button will save it.

The buttons differ between models, so you might have to poke around with the functions of the SP Phone, FWD, CONF, and AUTO ANS buttons, but nothing will change until you press STORE.

As far as finding the phone, try the Operator ext, 101, or 104.
