Our unit started displaying code 9E after filling, draining and filling again. At the beginning it was enough just to restart it. Finally this trick didn't work anymore. Before calling service for out of warranty I decided to take the unit out of the cabinet and start it. Of course this didn't fixed the problem. Then i noticed where the water comes in and I took off the panel on the left side bottom. My Samsung DMR57 Dishwasher gives me error code - 366571e.jpg
Under the panel there is a white box that has a floater inside. The floater is pushing a lever that actuates a micro switch. I noticed that the lever wasn't moving as the machine started to fill in with water. The lever was stuck. An easy touch on the lever fixed the problem and the machine started worMy Samsung DMR57 Dishwasher gives me error code - 677e4ea.jpgsrc="/uploads/images/677e4ea.jpg" alt="677e4ea.jpg" class="h_mi" />
I will put back the washer for now but if it happens again in the next future i'll have to find a more permanent fix.

Thanks so much for the photos. I have also heard on other sites that the tank and float occasionally need to be cleaned (grease food mold buildup). Also a tight fit of the dishwasher can compress the tank and stick the lever. Hope this helps!!

I had this exact problem, added some bleach to the tank to clean it out and returned it to the counter. Hopefully this fixes the problem, but for now the machine is running full cycle. Thanks so much to whomever posted these photos. Super helpful!

Thank you! Aftrer spending 15 minutes with Samsung tech support on the phone and getting no positive solutions, besides suggesting I have a service technician come to take a look, I found your information online. Had my machine back up and running in 15 minutes. This was a GREAT help!

TURN OFF BREKER AND WATER SUPPLY .........I HAD TO TOTAL REMOVE WATER TANK BY TURNING WASHER ON RIGHT SIDE,REMOVE THE PANEL ON THE PICTURE. THEN THERE ARE TWO GOLD SCREWS IN THE FRONT SIDE THAT ARE ATTCH TO THE BLACK FRAME OF THE MACHINE AND ONE AT THE BACK, REMOVE THESE COMPLETELY. THEN YOU CAN PUSH THE LOWER FRAME DOWN TO REMOVE WATER TANK. IT IS A BIT TRICKY WITH THE TABS, THERE ARE FIVE OF THEM, USE A BUTTER KNIFE, TO HELP PRY THEM OFF SLOWLY. THEN REMOVE THE BLACK HOSE ON THE BACK SIDE OF WATER TANK. WATCH OUT ALOT OF GUNK AND WATER WILL COME OUT, SO KEEP A TOWEL =UNDER IT , YOU DONNT WANT WATER ON THE ELECTRONICS. THEN WASH THE WATER TANK INSIDE A FLOAT ASSEMBLY CARE FULL NOT GET WATER ON ELECT CONNECTIONS. THEN REMOVE THE BOTTOM COVER OF THE WASHER , TWO SCREWS AND TAKE OFF THE OTHER END OF THE HOSE WITH PLYERS. CLEAN INSIDE OF THIS HOSE WITH WATER .RECONNECT EVERYTHING. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG AGAIN, 2 YEAR OLD PLASMA TV QUIT, QUATTRO FRIDGE PEES WATER ON FLOOR ONCE A MONTH, CAMCORDER HA SFUSSY PICTURE, ,

Thanks so much for the pictures and advice for this problem. Most of the gunk causing my problem was in the larger hose but the water tank was dirty as well. You could tell the lever wasn't moving like it should. Sometimes it would pop up and press the micro-switch and sometimes it wouldn't. After a thorough cleaning the lever moved perfectly. It popped up 20 out of 20 tries. The machine has been running for over 20 minutes now with no error. It hasn't ran more than 5 or 10 min without an error for the past 6 weeks. Thanks again, you saved me from buying a new dishwasher. We didn't think it was going to be worth it to have the thing repaired (estimate was going to be $200+)

Thank you all! My water tank sensor was about half full of full of slime. Working again.

Great solution and illistration with pics. I cleaned the tank (CLR) and freed float arm, added tiny amount of silicone spray. Important to make sure machine is fairly level as it can impact float arm. Use a level on front of door and under door appears to work ok. Prolems appear to be rectified. Hopefully long term. Thanks for posting this helpful information, it sure saves on service costs when out of warranty. :)

OMG you were amazing!!!!! We fixed it thanks to your diagrams and excellent instructions. You made a plumber out of my husband!!!! Save us lots of $$$ I must say, I'm not too impressed with the machine itself and it's only a couple years old. Never again, there's always problems. I am going to CLR it on a regular basis until we decide to replace it. Thanks again, you ROCK!!!!

Thanks dnmstn and sackofhammer! These steps solved my issue, too! The inside of the water tank was disgusting. It took me about an hour from start to finish. Again, thank you!

The above solution was perfect. The inside of my water tank and the float was covered with black slimmy algae/mold etc. Note, i'm on a well and with no chlorine in the water i see this often in the seals around the door. Simple solution.

Dishwasher starts and then stops with 9E flashing in window.

The 9E issue indicates a low water level in the dishwasher. Check your hoses. Make sure that no dishes flipped and filled with water. Make sure that the dishwasher is level. Next check if there is any debris blocking the water level (overflow) sensor. It's in a small square plastic box on the left side of the dishwasher. Pull the dishwasher forward and check for loose or damaged wires to the water level sensor.

If the wiring is good and the error persists, replace the sensor. Replace the wiring if it is damaged. If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to point you to the replacement part. If your dishwasher is under warranty, contact Samsung for the repair.

I hope this helps.

I have a 3 year old Samsung DMT800RFS dishwasher. It had a 9E error, so we changed the part on the side and replaced the interior gasket. Now we get a oE error and I can not enter Service Mode to re

I don't know if this is the same. However, on my washing machine I had to clear out the water trap at the bottom of the machine. I know I have to clean it out every 6 months to be on the safe side. This also helps the machine to not smell like old stagnate water and helps your clothing smell fresher with not having that water build up and sit. I found all strange things in all kinds of water overflow tubs.

What could be the problem on my Samsung DMR57LFS dishwasher with an E9 error after the low-level sensor is cleaned but the error still exists?

This is an exhausting procedure you have described here. Have you checked the float in the low water reservoir is actually working.

What could be the problem on my Samsung DMR57LFS dishwasher with an E9 error after the low-level sensor is cleaned but the error still exists?

I have a Samsung stainless steel tub dishwasher and only 2 months after we had it installed we had all sorts of issues with it. We were lucky it was under warranty and turned out parts needed to be changed - upgrades from Samsung that were not done i nthe store where we purchased the dishwasher.. You may want to check with Samsung with your Mode land Serial Number you never know, there might of been a recall. Good Luck!

What does mean error code 9e

THIS CODE INDICATES THAT THE WATER LEVEL SENSOR LOCATED ON THE SIDE OF THE D/W IS FULL OF GUNK AND DEBRES (I/E MOLD AND DEPOSITS) YOU HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE DISHWASHER, AND TAKE THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PANEL OFF ON THIS UNIT AND CLEAN THAT BOX OUT BY UNSCREWING THE WATER INLET HOUSING INSIDE THE DISHWASHER. (THAT GRAY SCREEN) UNSCREW THIS INLET ON THE LEFT INSIDE THE DISHWASHER. NOTE: THERE IS A SEAL ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS. DISCONNECT THE WIRE HARNESS AND THE CLAMP ON THE REAR RIGHT SIDE OF THE FLOAT BOX. BE SURE NOT TO GET ANY WATER INSIDE OF THE DISHWASHER OR YOU WILL HAVE TO DRY IT UP OR WAIT FOR IT TO EVAPORATE. I WOULD SUGGEST USING PAPER TOWEL WHEN REMOVING THIS PART. NOW YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF EITHER CLEANING IT OUT BY DISASSEMBLING THE BOX AND GETTING THE BACTERIA OUT, OR SIMPLY ORDERING A NEW ONE AND JUST INSTALLING IT. ONCE THE BOX IS CLEANED OUT, THE FLOAT MECHANISM IN THE UNIT CAN FLOAT FREELY TELLING THE WATER WHEN TO SHUT OFF. ONLY PERFORM THIS REPAIR ON A DISHWASHER THAT HAS THE POWER OFF TO IT.

9E error code on dmt800rhs dishwasher

I also had the 9E error code on my Samsung dishwasher DMT800RHS mmodel. I had to call Samsung and the nearest authorized Samsung service representative came to my house last Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The cost of the call is $100 which really annoyed me off considering the dishwasher is only 1 1/2 years old. Two South Korean guys showed up and to fix the problem just press down on the Heavy, Delicate and Power button at the same time for a few seconds and a menu will appear on the top left hand corner of the panel. Scroll down the menu by pressing the Normal button until you reach "FT" and the dishwasher will automatically fill up and then autimatically drain. If it does not drain then scroll down to "S" and the dishwasher will drain. Thsi should get rid of the 9E error message and your dishwasher will work fine but if not you have to repeat the procedure maybe 2 or 3 times until the 9E error message disappears. If you constantly get the 9E error message then you may need to replace the part which is about $60. The part is extremely sensitive to either hard water or food particles which is why the 9E error message appears. Therefore, scrape your dishes thoroughly so the food particles are minimized and the sensor does not go off which causes the 9E error message.

Error F1 on sansung dishwasher

F1 fault code is an indication that you have a water leak. Before calling in a professional, try to troubleshoot the problem on your own. Many times it can be something as simple as a leaky hose, a broken seal or a blocked drain hose causing the F1 error.

Additional details and codes in Samsung/DMR57-00026A_EN.pdf

Hope helps.
