Hi, I have a Panasonic RF 2400D that I am trying to reassemble. There is a clip that seems to connect to the fm antenna, but it fell out before I could see how it fit. Is there somewhere I can find assembly photos? Thanks

YOUR VENT COVER SHOULD COME RIGHT OFF GIVING YOU ACESS TO THE WIPER MOTOR AND THE CLIP AND NUT THE CLIP IS VERY TRICKY TO PUT BACK ON BUT WITH COVER OFF YOU SHOULD NOT LOOSE THE CLIP IT WILL JUST FALL IN CAVITY UNDER NEATH WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY GOOD LUCK

I solved the problem, but I did not "fix" the problem. Rather than rig an antenna to the old Panasonic RF-544 radio, I put it upstairs where it has good reception. I put the new Sony ICF-38 downstairs where it brings in the stations I listen to. The advertsizing claim for the Sony ICF-38 is that it has "Good Sound and High Sensitivity." I believe it does have "high sensitivity" because even in the basement it brings in my desired stations. (I am still curious to know if I could have rigged an antenna to the old Panasonic RF-544.) RL

SOURCE: broken antenna on grundig mini 300 radio

Replacement is possible, the back of the radio needs to come off and there is a screw at the bottom of the antenna. Remove this and the old one will slide out and simple to install new one. Call Eton for replacement, can be foung with a google search....

To improve reception, use a 75 Ohm outdoor antenna instead of an indoor antenna. Disconnect the indoor antenna before replacing it with an outdoor antenna.

Antenna cable missing for Panasonic sa-pm42 stereo

The 75 ohm type use plugs and cables commonly used for TV aerials and Satellite dishes.
The 300 ohm type uses screw clip terminals where you attach a coloured cable.
All shown here: The FM socket with the thread on, uses a Satellite connector plug.

Antenna fell into car, and I can't access it.
These are plastic trim clips. You need a two prong tool (go to a parts store, or make something) to hold the outside of the clip, and then gently turn the center screw, while prying the clip out. These clips often break, so again, see you part store for replacements.

Str-685 has poor fm reception. have tried 3 different antennas.
If you are sure with the antennae then the fault is with the RF section within, It can be related to a faulty RF section, tuner or IF. You need to take a signal test to confirm.

How do i hook up an antenna to the pioneer sx-950
There are two antenna sources on the Pioneer SX-950.

Both of these outputs are located on the rear panel of the receiver. The AM is a permanent mount. The FM is standard RF/Coax which will run to your antenna.

Antenna Inputs: FM 75 ohm, FM 300 ohm
Am Ferrite Bar Antenna

Cannot get any sound from fm. i have stations and aerial is ok just have sound on mw/lw any suggestions? gail
seems the fm tuner is blown, did you check antenna and connections? if ok then contact service for fm tuner problem.

2007 Sonata AM radio has no sound. Hit search at 100% volume and tuner scrolls non stop. FM is fine. Antenna?
AM is reflective, FM is not. Best reception is always FM because of this reason. Reflective AM bounces off everything - buildings, trucks, houses, power poles, etc and cause 'shadow' RF which confuses the the radio's AM tuner. However, if this condition exists ALL the time (whether you driving or in your garage), then the problem is either in the audio unit itself or in the rear window antenna (or connection to it). Left "C" pillar cover removed, you'll see the physical connections to the window antenna (it's also the rear defroster heating elements).

Fm reception going in and out also strange noises
Hooking up the AM antenna loop should not have fried anything, as I know lots of peeps who have done that. The FM RF amp. sounds like it may be at fault. The only way to tell if its bad is by hooking up an RF generator and I would be surprosed if you had one of those laying around. Disconnect the unit and take it to a repair shop.. If its an older model Time to get a new one. Good Luck
