I have a DStv WiFi connected to my explorer box in my lounge. I also have a pvr box upstairs in the bedroom. Do I need a separate dstv wifi for the pvr box upstairs to watch showmax?

SOURCE: dstv to dvd recorder connection

  1. Grab your A/V composite wires and insert them into the Audio/Video OUTPUTS on the back of the satellite receiver. These are color-coded connections--red to red, white to white and yellow to yellow. The red and white connections are your audio feeds and the yellow is for your video.
  2. Look on the backside of your DVD/VCR dual recorder. You will see similar connections. Connect the other end of the composite wires to the Audio/Video INPUTS on the DVD/VCR dual recorder.
  3. With a second set of A/V composite wires, connect one end to the DVD/VCR dual recorder's A/V OUTPUT and the other end to the television's A/V INPUT. Again, be sure to follow the color code. Also, if your television has more than one available input, be sure to know to which one you made the connections (A/V 1, A/V 2, etc.).

SOURCE: Need to connect my DSTV decoder through my sony

well this is easier than you think, get yourself a set of RCA's (the red and white and yellow cables that DVD players come with) look behind your decoder and place them colour to colour, then behind your Amp you will read (TV IN) do the same, then with just one yellow RCA plug it into (monitor) that one will then go to the (AV input) behind your TV.. And presto!!! now set your amp input on the remote to TV and your off!! good luck

SOURCE: black and white dstv

look on the TV menu for (system) in south africa we use PAL, if you cant change it on the TV, with the decoder remote press menu then 7 then 4, it will ask for a pin code press 9-9-4-9 it will read "RF modulator" press OK, it will then read 1 MODULATION press ok again and it will highlight PAL I now press the right key and press OK, if this persists then the decoder it probably faulty... good luck

HI, can a smart tv box work on a Sinotec MP-42HC56 TV? - DSTV now and netflix?

DStv has launched its new DStv Now app for Samsung smart TVs and Android boxes, which allows you to stream DStv content directly to your TV, without theneed for a decoder. ... With DStv Now, you can stream on two devices simultaneously (like Showmax), but remember that you've probably got the decoder sitting there too.

Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).
