SOURCE: Keurig machine releasing coffee grounds on top of K cups

I have the same problem but if you take a paper towel and clean the grounds from the top each time it helps. Cleaning around the little point that pierces the cup. It helps but doesn't completely eliminate the problem.

SOURCE: Set flow amount on Bunn STF 35

Remove the top panel and look for the yellow float, this controls the amount of water brewed, to adjust remove some of the washers on the float and test until you get the amount needed.

SOURCE: Coffee grounds overflow out of basket into top of coffee pot.

Coffee overflowing onto the counter is a common complaint found in response to many automatic drip coffee makers. The following are potential solutions that can be used to rule out "operator error" vs. a defect or malfunction:

1. Do not "pack" or otherwise overfill the cone/basket with grinds.
2. Ensure you are using the correct grind for an automatic drip coffee maker, neither too fine nor too course. (See instruction manual.)
3. Do not overfill with water. Use the carafe to pour water into the reservoir. This is because a "cup" in coffee terms is defined as 6 oz, not 8 oz. Note: Some coffee makers define as little as 5 oz as a cup.
4. Make sure the filter cone/basket clicks into place and that the carafe is centered and pushed all the way in.
5. Try a permanent filter rather than a paper filter or vice versa.
6. Only use the correct permanent or paper filter (see manual).
7. Verify that the Pause 'n Serve button isn't sticking. If it is activated too long the brew will escape over the top of the cone/basket. This may be more apt to happen if the alignment of the carafe and the basket is incorrect.
8. Clean your machine with vinegar or as instructed by your user manual at least three times per year, more if your water supply is hard. A properly cleaned machine is less likely to suffer a burned out heating element, to take too long to brew, to produce "off" tasting coffee, or to clog and overrun the filter basket as the water runs through the grinds.
9. Ensure that the coffee machine is sitting level on the counter.

Bun coffee maker model MCU has stopped emptying water completely from the coffee grounds drawer. How can I fix this? We have cleaned filter already. Thank you!

Check out the following link that shows how this MCU brewer works. Please note position 8:04 on the time line of the video. Note the loud 'flushing' or air blast sound that is at the end of the brew cycle. If your brewer does not perform this air blast (it forces all the water out of the brew chamber or cup.) then the air pump is bad and needs to be replaced.
* check your warranty and have Bunn service this machine.
* There are no customer service parts inside this brewer.

After brewing with a Bunn MCU, it does not fully use all of the water; some remains in the coffee pod. It does this with all textures of coffee grounds. It makes cleanup a mess. Any ideas? Thanks!

First, Though I have worked on many Bunn commercial systems. I'm not quite familiar with the newer MCU though I've worked on similar single cup home systems.
* Most single up systems like the Cup/Pod/Capsule usually have a air flusher that pushes all the water out of the brewer to extract all the flavor and prevent old liquids left in unit.
* If your still dripping, have wet pods/capsules/cups, then it sounds like the air pump is not turning on or not working properly. Bad pump could be a cracked or loose hose as the pumps don't really wear out as it's only air (hopefully clean air, no dust). Call for service.
* The brew cycle might not be completing thus not continuing on to the next step which is to pump air in. Brew sensor or timer out. call for service
* Computer is out or fried (especially after an electrical storm). Call for service.
* Finally, most of these home units do not have serviceable parts. Most take at least an hour to service. So if your not in the warranty period it may not be worth fixing. But be sure to call your service provider or MFR for advice.

BUNN MY CAFE BAD TAST WITH COFFE OR HOT COCO

Try really cleaning the basket that the water and coffee or cocao goes into. If you don't really clean it well, it will have the taste of the last thing brewed mixed in with the new brew. Coffee followed by coffee should not be a problem, but coffee followed by cocao will give the cocao a coffee taste, and visa versa.

You may need to add more grounds. We use 1/2 cup coffee grounds for our 10-cup machine, and it comes out perfect every time. If you prefer to grind your own beans, use 1/2 cup of beans, then grind.

This can occur with the use of finer ground coffee or use of soft water, filtered water, or bottled water. If you will call 800-352-2866 with the model and date code, we can send you a flow restrictor sprayhead which will alleviate this problem.

look for water leaks around pot. Otherwise do a daytime brew to compare your difference between the amount poured in and what comes out. Please note that less water should mean using less ground coffee. Suggest 1 heaping table spoon per brewed cup.
