Hi I bought a Bosch excell Max front loading washing machine from the uk and now I am in Australia it is only 1/2 working! It is a WFO2864 a partly digital one, the cycle and spin speed being selected with a manual dial.
I think it could match the Australian WFO2460au possibly. I have seen a spare parts online shop but I wondered if we can fix it at home???
The main problem is the cycle stops after 5 minutes into it, then the light turns out and the LED goes from the showing the cycle time to '0'.. The door is easily opened then...
Can you tell me whats wrong with it and if I can fix it at home? David Carne

Sounds like you have a blocked pump.To empty the machine manually lower the drain hose into a bowl or bucket.Once emptied the door should open.On most modern machines there will be a filter behind the kick plate at bottom front of machine, Check this for any foreign objects then try a spin before putting on again. If problem persists come for further options.

yes it can be but get in an expert to check it might just be the heater element and brushes

Your pump/filter is plugged. (E4) There
is a round door on the lower front of the washer. There is a small hole near
the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and
you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to
the problem. When the water is drained
in machine the door is open able.
Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter.
When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the
floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a
drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find
the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back
in. You can check with rinse, if you
want to make sure there are no leaks. Put
the door back on and rotate. I will try to come back to you re. the wash, wash.
