SOURCE: Re: Password change

Hi, The below steps are assuming that your router is at default settings, you are connected to your router (preferably by LAN), you can ping your router. 1. Open a browser (IE or Mozilla); 2. in the address bar type "192.168.1.1", enter; 3. on both username and password type ?admin?, OK; 4. in Quick Setup, select Step 1, Next; 5. in Password type your "New Password"; 6. in Verify Password type again your "New Password", Exit; 7. Save Settings; and 8. restart router. All other configurations should remain as-is. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: i cant log into my

Hello !
Usually on routers, on the back of the device you should have a "default login". If you do not, USUALLY, the user is either "root" or "admin" and pass "". (blank pass).
Update : I checked out your model and it says the default credentials are:
User : admin
Pass : admin
Hope that helps !
All the best.

SOURCE: How can I change my router password?

There is a button on the router somewhere that usually requires either a pin or a pencil/pen to successfully press.
Look all around it and if you press the button, possibly hold it for a few seconds, it will reset to default settings.
To connect to it, either connect wirelessly if you know the password, or use ethernet to physically gain connection.
Once you're at least "connected" to the router by either method, open a new browser window and type in
192.168.1.1
to enter the admin settings. You can there set up either a WEP/WPA/WPA2 key, or change the administrator password. These are different things, and reading the instructions on the page should help clarify which you want to change.

Defaulf password for belkin router F7D2401

If you have never changed the default password, you can find it printed on the label on the bottom of the router.
If you have changed the password before, you will need to reset the router back to factory defaults. There is probably a small button on the back of the router labelled "reset" that you will need to hold down for 10 seconds and release. To push this button, you will likely need the tip of a pen or the end of a paperclip bent into a straight line.
If you still need more assistance, please post the specific model so we can find a user manual for it online. If this solved your problem, please don't forget to rate this

My password wont work on wireless d-link to my new laptop

I would reset the password back to default again just unplug the router from its plug in wait about 25 seconds then plug back in once fired up and working hit the reset button on the router quickly release the password will be admin, do not do this if you know the password at the router page, at the site to log in then go to your wireless section of the router configurations and change the password there. That address is 192.168.0.1. or 192.168.1.0 reset there. Thanks for using FixYa! please place a vote fr me if this assisted you in any way. John

My router password is lost. I want to access it now.

All routers have a reset button on them that will allow you to reset the unit back to the original configuration it had when it was first turned on. This will reset the password on the router back to the original factory default that will be listed in your manual. This means that any changes you have made to your router will be wiped out. Your router will then reboot itself and come back up with all of the original settings intact. You will then have to make any changes that are necessary to make the router function in the correct way for your network. All routers have menu items that allow you to back up the configuration file from the router to a place on your computer. That way if you ever need to reset your router back to the factory settings you can then just reload the configuration file to set it back to your configuration settings.

If you have any problems in resetting your router back to factory status please repost back to us with the router brand name and model number and we can give you further assistance.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

I need to locate and change my password

There is no way to recover the lost password However, you can reset the router to factory defaults and re-configure settings like password, network key etc. First, to reset the router to factory default setting, press the reset button at the back of the router.
creativetech_5.jpg

Please note that after RESETTING THE ROUTER to defaults, ALL SETTINGS WILL BE LOST AND YOU HAVE TO RECONFIGURE IT. Generally, after hard reset you get the connectivity, however, you have to make the connection secure etc.
Please, refer here to download the product guide/manual and make configurations as per the details provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Good Luck!
Appreciate generously, if the solution could have been of any help!
