I recently bought a new Sharp Flat Panel Television LC19SB25U at Walmart. For the record, I'm a student & don't know many things about electronics. I have a coaxial cable attached and also the power plug into the wall. After hooking up the TV, I programmed it using the channel search. However, I still only get audio on 2 channels - channel 3 and channel 9. Every time I go to these channels a blue box appears in the top right hand screen. It says "Cable:Digital then a big 3.1 or 3.2 & then Audio:Stereo". On channel 9 the blue box again appears but says "Cable:Digital 9.1 or 9.2 Audio:Stereo". These "blue boxes" don't show up on any other channel. Other channels only have mono sound and this is shown at the top of the screen where the channel number is normally shown. It says Cable:Analog Audio: Mono. Sometimes if I turn the volume all the way up I can hear sound VERY faintly. Is my TV defective and if not, how can I fix my audio problem? Thanks.
Sharp has had a few problems with their audio boards, not finding any bulletins on this model, but a few complaining about low audio on amazon reviews section. If using an antenna you will experience some channels with low audio. If using cable you should get good sound on all channels..
the 9.1 and 9.2 are digital channels and sharp does display them for at least a few seconds when you switch to that channel. Check all your setting in the audio to Stereo never SAP. To options for you are get a cable box, first check in the back and see if there is another coax in, if there are two try both rescanning after connecting.

I just did a channel search for ONLY the digital channels. I actually have channel 3, 9, 18, and 36. It seems I'm only getting audio on the digital channels. How do I get audio on my analog channels as well? And why do I still have analog channels anyway? I thought there was a DTV thing that occurred June 12, 2009.
what is the coax attached to cable or sattelite box dvd
