On the l. side of the keyboard there are keys labeled store, play & delete. Press & hold store then type an address 01 thru 99 release store and type whatever you want. Upon completion press store again. To play it back press play and the address, to clear delete and address.

Check in the area where the printwheel is installed for paper or other debris. If it does the same thing with the printwheel out then it is probably a printwheel sensor.

I've got a IBM Wheelwriter 30 Series II and several keys won't activate print or movement such as zxcvm,.Line up, Lock and Right Shift keys. Everything else seems to work?

Over time, the keyboards on Wheelwriters tend to go bad. Unfortunately, the only solution is to replace the keyboard or have it rebuilt. If you can get it out, there are a few companies that will rebuild them. If you're able, I can refer a company.

IBM Wheelwriter 30 series II - prints only half a letter

If it types only the top half yhe platen is probably not all the way in. Make sure the 2 black latches are lined up with the side frames then press down firmly on both sides of the platen.
