What is the recommended temperature setting for a Fridgidaire Gallery refrigerator?

Optimum refrigerator temperature at or below40° F(4° C). The freezer temperature should be0° F(-18° C). Check temperatures periodically. Appliance thermometers are the best way of knowing these

Why does the f10 code keep appearing on self cleaning fridgidaire oven? When using oven it starts heating out of control. Tends to happen when oven is being used for longer periods of time.

The thermostat is defective. It is a temperature sensor operated switch. It turns the heating element on and off to regulate the proper temperature in the oven at all times.

Oven bake element does not work after replacing fridgidaire

it could have a burned off terminal on the element(not likely as you saw them during new element install) or it could be a defective relay on the control board where you set the oven temperature, one side of the element is always at 120 volts from the power cord, the other side of the element is controlled on and off by the control board

My Fridgidaire upright Gallery freezer is freezing my food but the appliance seems to be constantly running and the temperature control on the outside is reading 29 Celsius when it obviously isn't

Hi Susan Abboud - Modern freezers have increased storage capacity and keep more even temperature that may require the compressors to run longer but use less energy. Was the unit disconnected previously for any reason? If so, freezer requires a minimum of 4 hours to cold down completely. Confirm that the temperature control is not set too cold and that the door is not being open frequently. A dirty, cracked, worn or poorly fitted door gasket can allow warm air to enter the unit causing it to have to run longer to remove the warm air. Leaks in the door seal will cause freezer to run longer in order to maintain desired temperature. Cleaned the gasket, if it is too damage then it will need to be replace. You can check and see if the door seal is bad by, placing a dollar between the gasket and cabinet. Check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing properly. If nothing is stopping the door then replace gasket. Keep in mind that there should also be at least 4-6 in of air space on all sides of the unit. If freezer is built in or has items stored on top that cover the unit, the can cause long run times, high temperature in the freezer and premature failure to the unit. Do not block the toe grille on the lower front of the unit. Sufficient air circulation is essential for the properly operation of your freezer, about 3 inches around the unit.

Fridgidaire oven will not heat up.

It can be 1 of 3 things the temperature control could be defective, you could have a burnt wire or the bottom ring of the stove cou ld be burnt. If you have a volt ohm meter you could check the bottom ring for continuaty, visiualy inspect the wirring for any burnt connector you can also check continuaty on the temperature contoller. Good luck.

Please disconnect the power to the stove befor attempting any of the above.

Top element wont heat wen oven is on bake

The top element normally operates only when you turn the temperature control all the up to the broil setting as it is the broiling element. If it doesn't work at the broil setting, suspect a bad brioler element or a faulty temperature control.

Fridgidaire electric stove.Bottom oven element is not heating as much as it should.Any ideas. Thanks john

A calrod heating element either works or it doesn't. The problem will be in the temperature control or sensor.
