D1780 with blank screen

Suggest you reset handset and register again with base.

Instructions from manual...
Resetting Handsets If you have trouble with a handset or if you want to replace one, clear the registration information from the base and the handset: 1. Press & hold END and # at the same time until you see the System Reset menu. 2.If you still have the base the handset is registered to, select Deregister HS, then select the handset you want to reset. If you don't have that base anymore, select Base Unavailable. 3. To confirm, select Yes. The handset displays Handset not registered. Registering Handsets If you see a "not registered" message on a handset, you must register it to a base before using it. 1. Place the handset in the base; the display should say Handset Registering. 2.Wait until the display says Registration Complete (about 30 seconds), then pick up the handset and press TALK/FLASH. 3.If you don't hear a dial tone or the display says Registration Failed, charge the battery completely, then try again.

My phone keeps rebooting

I faced the samed problem.A lot of minor issues regarding the handset could be solved through restoring of the factory settings. Go to Settings-privacy-Factory data reset, select "Reset Phone" and click the pop-up icon "Erase everything". The reset process takes about one minute and after that the handset will be restarted and stop on an English interface. Pull out the battery directly and reinstall it to turn on the handset. You need to backup the data before you reset the phone.

Why is my phone suddenly cant connect to my sim card?

Possible reasons: first another handset to check SIM

  • Your SIM card is faulty or has been permanently destroyed by entering the Unlock and PUK code wrong too many times?
  • Mobile service is no longer valid and thus has 'no service' - check with Mobile service help desk
  • Your handset 'IMEI' has been blacklisted: happens if the handset has been reported as 'missing'.
  • Your mobile phone software/hardware has gone faulty: try to reset by taking battery out for 5-10 minus and try if it has reset the handset or do a phone 'hard-reset' .
Hope it helps.

I forgot my phone password

this happens all the time with samsungs. i went to tmobile.com/forums and found some info to fix mine when i forgot mine as well lol. the problem is it will reset your password and all your other information as well :(

A phone lock or security code on most Samsung handsets can be overridden by performing a full reset on the device. This will set the security codes on the handset back to the default eight zero's (00000000).

Important: This reset restores the original factory settings and will erase all downloaded content, including ringtones, images, programs, and contacts stored in the internal memory. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available). Make sure you have backed up contacts, calendar appointments, and other data before continuing.

1. Power off the handset

2. Remove the battery

3. Remove the SIM card

4. Reinsert battery ONLY

5. Turn handset on

6. At the Insert SIM prompt screen enter the following code: *2767*2878#

NOTE: If using a handset that was released after July 2009 use this code: *2767*3855#

7. The handset should display E2P custom reset

8. Power off handset

9. Reinsert SIM card

10. Power on handset

11. The phone should be unlocked

NOTE: If you didn't get a E2P custom reset or a Full reset message on the handset your Samsung model may need an MCK code. You will have to call technical support for this code. Please have your IMEI number ready to expedite the process for this code. Your IMEI number is located on a label on the back of the phone, under the battery.

Hello there...

Which reset did you mean?

- Soft Reset: Power cycle your handset, no data is missing.

How To:

1) Go to Start Menu >> Settings >> System >> Hard Reset >> Clear Memory >> and follow instruction.
2) or other way is: handset in power off state, push small Reset button near the power button while also pressing End & Call button simultaneously and then follow instruction appears on the screen.

Uniden TCX905 cCordess phone Handsets # 3 and 4

If the handsets are not currently registered to any base, the SYSTEM RESET menu won't appear.

If the TCX905 handsets in question are actually expansion handsets from another Uniden Phone System, they are not true TCX905 handsets. To verify, remove the battery cover and battery, then look at the inside label. If it lists the model of a TRU9xxx phone system, your handsets are NOT TCX905.

Uniden unfortunately has programmed the expansion handsets from SINGLE LINE TRU9xxx phone systems to NOT REGISTER against the TRU9466. (Those same handsets register fine against predecessor model TRU8866 though).

Handset has message Out of Range even though it is fully charged on on the handset.

The handsets are reading out of range because they have lost connection with the base. This happens mostly during peak power demands or power outages, but can also happen when the phone is unplugged for any amount of time. This can also cause, at times, the answering machine to stop picking up calls. To remedy this issue, reset the phone system. Please follow the instructions below:
To reset the phone:
1. Disconnect the power adapter, phone line, and remove all batteries from the base and all handsets. Leave it disconnected for 30 seconds to reset the base.
2. Place the batteries in the handsets first and then plug in the power adapter and phone line. Do not place the batteries back in the base yet.
3. Put the handset in the charge cradle.
4. It may take up to 1 minute for the "Out of Range" to clear from the display.
5. Once the "Out of Range" is cleared from the handset place the back up batteries back into the base.

Handset Fails to Register

It is quite possible that you'll need to go into the menu settings on your base-unit and reset the unit or restore factory default, whichever option it gives you. Also, look in the menu on the phone to see if there is an option to reset the handset also. After resetting the unit and/or handsets, try to register the handsets again, one at a time. If that still does not fix the problem, you may have handsets that are not compatible with your system, or your system may not be able to support that many phones. However, if you have the right handsets, and your system can host that many handsets, then I'm confident that resetting the unit and re-registering your handsets should fix your problem.
Hope this helps! Have a nice day!
