Onkyo605 stopped outputting Video after installing HDAV1.3 sound

Hi
I was trying to install a new HDAV1.3 Slim sound card on my system.

Everything went well, i was listening to music via the card via both monitor and HDTV, then I went to disable the monitor so to try blu-ray.
As I disabled the monitor, suddenly the cataylst control centre would t recognise the HDTV.

Ever since i can get no video from the amp, either from the computer or dvd player (dvd player was fine until this)   All i get is a black screen,   the osd works and audio is fine.   Its almost as if i have blown the video chip or something

Ive tried all things, reinstall, back to factory resets, change cables

Thanks

If you didnt change any of the inputs going to the onkyo. I would check the input setup. I dont know what input you have your pc connected to on the onkyo, i'm guessing that your using a hdmi cable. make sure you have hdmi selected as your input type not component video or any other. That model doesnt upconvert anything to hdmi. Also some dvi-d to hdmi dont play well wih onkyo.

No sound from my speakers, only from earphone jack

You must have some needed materials: driver and application recovery CDs and updated sound driver software.
Step 1: Check your sound card. Click "Start", than "Control Panel", and then "System" and "Hardware" and navigate to "Device Manager". Double click "Sound, Video and Game Controller". If Sound Card have been listed in this page, then you system already have sound card installed. If not, please check the enclosed information of your Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 to see if you should installed a sound card. If sound card is a must, then you should install a sound card. Note: if you have already installed sound card but not be listed in "Sound, Video and Game Controller", then go to "Other Devices" to check the list. Portable computer normally have no card sound because they have integrated sound management system.
Step 2: Take a look at all the output devices to see if they have been turned on and plugged in. The three jacks in following picture are for Microphone, input and output respectively. Check whether your output device have been put on mute or not. Check volume control setting. Go to "Start" "All Programs", "Accessories", "Entertainment", and "Volume Control" or just click speaker icon to set your volume.

Step 3: If the sound is audible but suddenly lost then you should implement system restore. Go to "Start" bottom, "All Programs" button, "Accessories" button, "System tools" and then "System Restore" and then go to System Restore Wizard.
Step 4: Sometimes you need to delete and reinstall sound driver. Click on the "Start" button, then the "Control Panel" and "System". What follows is the "Hardware", the "Device Manager" and "Sound", "Video" and "Game Controllers". Click on Sound device and then delete it. Click OK when they are a window prompt and say something like whether or not to continue the deletion. Delete all sound devices except Legacy Audio Drivers and the Audio Codec. Go to official website of your Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 and find out the updated sound driver for your sound card and download it. Then restart your Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 and reinstall the sound driver.
Now, you can have your sound out. Absolutely, sometimes sound problem may caused by certain hardware. So you can check information from your hardware supplier to see information about problems with your specific model of computer or sound card.

remove the video card, then see if you can get video from the mainboard video output. You did get a processor that supports that hopefully, If that works you need to boot into the bios and set the PCIe video to have priority over the onboard video. Turn off the PC and install your card. See if that works and good luck.

No display to monitor

You first needed to uninstall the OLD card via device manager then install the NEW driver for the NEW card--then install the NEW card

Can't get sound on tv but dvd and radio work.

Sounds like an install problem. All of your inputs (audio and video) should run through the BOSE and then only the video out needs to run to the TV. In this way the BOSE is the sound source for everything

HI,

2. Check your system whether the driver is installed or not.
3. Goto Mycomputer rightclick, then properties, then hardware, then device manager
4. then sound video game controller, check here your sound card is installed or not
5. if you find any yellow mark on the sound card, right click on that diable it,
6. select Action from the menu bat at the top and scan for new hardware changes.
7. Select system devices below the sound video game controller, double click on that and find is
there any yellow mark symbol display on any controller, if not, then everything is installed properly

This sounds more like a sound card issue. Go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager and check your sound card.

The speakers get plugged into the audio output jack on the back of your computer.
