Re: My karcher electric power washer will not start-1800...
If you have used an extension cord with it you have destroyed the motor. If not, the bypass valve is stuck. On THIS diagram, section 2.1, part number 1 needs lubrication with a good waterproof grease.

low pressure usually caused by cracked head but more commonly by dirty or broken valve (two per cylinder) remove and inspect each valve for debris or missing orings etc then replace before opening the next, a short cut sometimes is to blow compressed air through the inlet,
you will have to take the cover off & look for melted wires or a fuse.
if there is no fuse the capacitor may have been cooked.
it should be a white cylinder.if it has been damaged it will have burn marks and may be swollen.
replace the capacitor and it should start.
Not Simple.
I have the same Problem, the leak is from the seam of the Manifold or on the pressure side of the Pump and the hose housing. In my case there is a small crack in the seam of the Manifold Housing. A manufacturing defect.. A New Manifold Complete Replacement about the half the price what I paid for this pressure washer at Walmart... :(
If under 1 year old, and you can find a receipt,Karcher will replace the whole Pressure washer under warranty.
