First you should check the power for short circuit, second you have to check the fan motor if it is burnt or not, third check whether the compressor is burnt or not. These are the three reasons. If the powering is short circuited change the cables from the mccb.If the fan motor is burned out replace the fan motor or rewind the fan motor. If the compressor is burnt out replace the compressor, evacuate the refrigeration system and charge the refrigerant.

Have Goldstar Model R1804h ac/heater window unit when turned to heat blows only cold air what is easiest thing to check and purchase first.

If your thermostat is working on the Heat cycle (listen for "click" when turned up and down on Heat), then your heating coil assembly is probably bad. The heating coil is in series with a Fusible Link and a Bi-metal thermostat, if any of these three fails, there will be no heat from the coils. The Link and Bi-metal Thermostat are made up as part of the heater coil assembly.

The circuit on the plug keeps tripping when I turn the unit on. Goldstar wg6007

most AC`s have a start capacitor at the compressor pump, if this start capacitor is defective your compressor will not start and cause it to draw more current than is normal, when you turn the unit on listen, if you notice a humming sound like an ac hum than this might be your problem, other units use a relay to start the compressor motor and if this relay is defective your compressor is remaining in the start winding position and will also consume excess current, obtain a diagram of your unit and this will indicate the type of start device employed and go from there

Dehumidifier keeps blowing circuit

Hi,
The compressor is bad...

There are many reasons for a dehumidifier2_bing.gif to not work or collect water.
Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier2_bing.gif.

Dehumidifier is running but no water is in bucket

2 year old Coleman Mach III tapping and not blowing cold air:

Make sure the condensor fan is blowing through the condensor on the roof. It sounds like the compressor is fighting high head pressures after running a bit.. After so many attepts, or if it suceeds in operating the load trips the circuit breaker.. Make sure the condensor is clean and air is passes through it from the fan. Just for clarifiication the condensor is the coil that gets hot and the evaporator is the coil yat create the cold air. Good Luck, and if you will, let me know how it turns out. Good Luck. Ned

Friedrich QuietMaster SS12H10

It is probably either the Compressor and or the capacitor that has failed. The compressor will hum and pull a lot of amps when it has seized up. Sounds like it is time for a new unit.
