How do I reduce the freezer temperature
Locate the the thermostat - usually located in the fresh food compartment (if a refrigerator). Make small adjustments of about 1/8 of the dial's travel at a time - and check the change after 24 hours. Be sure to check both the freezer AND fresh food compartment to prevent temperature from dropping to low for fresh food. Best results are obtained by using a thermometer put in a glass of water in the fresh food area and another thermometer left in the freezer. Most manufacturers suggest a freezer temperature not greater than 0°F and fresh food 35°F to 40°F.
