Did you check that you are receiving a good hot (a consistent 110 ac) check the tv on a different outlet otherwise the chassis board has malfunctioned inside the tv. Probaly the flyback transformer which converts the 110 ac to thousands of volts to power the CRT (picture tube) which has failed more than likely. Usually the culprit after sustaining a surge from a lightning strike. Not worth the repair just replace go to your local pawn shop for a great deal on another used tv

Should be on the board near where the power cord connects. It should be a fuse with pigtails that is soldered to the board. If you had a true lightning strike then the power diodes are probably shot ad well and more than likely the power transistor.
hi due to it being lightnig strike their could be that much wrong with it that you might never find the problem. If you are going to try and repair it then your going to need a multimeter and also get hold of the schematics so you can follow them and for any part numbers you might need. The chances are its going to be several blown resistors because the lightning strike causing power surge so i would start looking around the board where the power lead goes into the board this would be a good place to start testing
Nobody can predict, what might have been happened to your TV after a lightning strike. Do you thing anybody can? Is any technician have a super-natural power to predict the faults that might have been happened due to lightning (More than 10 Million volts to start on stroke) ? Can you?
Sorry.
Contact the authorized service center. OK? http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
First things i would check are the powerpoint and then the fuses
a lightning strike at the powerpole may take out a fuse at the fuse box thus no power at the powerpoint,a power surge could take out the fuses on the powersupply board but check all fuses ,be sure to unplug the set from the wall first.
good luck.
It could happen yes it would depend where the strike entered the TV. Not all lighting strikes hit on the electrical lines, on a TV they can come through the cable, as well as a antenna if you have one hooked up.
Hello
It can't predict what may have wrong with your TV; becuse the lightning stroke will have trillions of volts when it strike the earth. Even its near presence will spoil the power supply section of any equipements. There is surely a fuse inside it, and you can check after opening the TV. Check it first. If it is burned, make a visual check inside the components of the TV for a burned damaged if any. If you find any of it, please do not put an other fuse and make an experiment with the TV. it may cause more components to be damaged. If no visual burned componets are seen, just put a fuse of same ratings [ratings will be either printed on its rims or indicated by colour bands across it]. If the replaced fuse again gets burned as the set is switched ON, make sure that some components in the power supply is shorted, and a through checkup should be done. Contact any experienced service technician to do the work. OK.
Hello
The faults occurs during lightning strike is not predictable. At present, the power supply inverter section of your RCA ahs damaged. A thorough chekup must be done to detect whether there is any other faults also occured or not during this time. OK.
The most likely explanation is the high voltage from the lightning has probably zapped the sensitive electronics. It is however worth checking all the fuses are OK I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
