Car Stereo Freeway 7 inch flipscreen-can't adjust volume, etc.

Volume is stuck on max. However, when i turn the volume to 0, it the speakers turn off but the subwoofer still plays. I cannot fade my speakers, or adjust the bass, treble, or anything. The radio and cd player also seem to be acting faulty, such as the radio playing on cd/dvd mode, or just plain static on radio mode.

SOURCE: Stereo volume doesn't effect Aux input volume

in a car stereo system, when you select line input, it usually assumes the device you are connecting has its own volume control. if you really want to use your cars volume knob, an FM transmitter might do the trick.

SOURCE: Cannot Set the Treble & Bass

Bass and Treble controls allow you to adjust each setting from
-7 to +7 once you have calibrated your vehicle's interior sound with the optional Alpine IMPRINT software.

Is this what might be causing your setup not to work?

SOURCE: jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

Turning my Phonic PowerPod7 into a home stereo

To turn your Phonic PowerPod 7 into a home stereo system, you will need to make some additions and connections to the existing setup. Here are the steps you can follow:
  1. Connect speakers: You will need to connect a pair of passive speakers to your PowerPod 7. You can do this by connecting the speaker cables from the speakers to the "Speaker Outputs" on the back of the PowerPod 7.
  2. Add a source: The PowerPod 7 has two channels, so you can connect a stereo source such as a CD player, turntable, or music streamer. Connect the left and right audio outputs of the source to the corresponding inputs on the PowerPod 7.
  3. Connect to power: Make sure to plug the PowerPod 7 into a wall outlet to power it on.
  4. Adjust the volume: Use the volume knob on the PowerPod 7 to adjust the overall volume of the system.
  5. Tune the sound: If desired, you can adjust the tone controls on the PowerPod 7 to tailor the sound to your preferences.
With these steps, you should have a functional home stereo system using your Phonic PowerPod 7.

How come i can only adjust the volume levels on the center, surround sound left and right, and the sub, down but not up? is 0 max volume?

Some equipment use 0dB as the reference, and you can choose to decrease the volume from that point. If you need to "increase" beyond 0dB, you need to reduce volume on the main speakers so the volume is finally balanced between all speakers.

Volume button sticks and raises to max level and cannot be turned down.

It sounds from your description there is a fault in the audio section electronics rather than with the button.

Annoying issue but honestly, I have no idea how to operate your "Jensen VX7020 6 2 Inch MultiMedia Bluetooth" but logic says you should read instructions. Read these instructions

Why could my volume knob be stuck on max volume and not adjusting?

There is probably grease or dirt on the contacts inside the unit. Here's a video that shows you how to fix it:

My stereo turns on, but no volume? It seems that it disabled all the speakers?

This is very important: does the vehicle have the Bose speakers and amplifier? If so, did you use a vehicle specific wiring harness during the installation of the aftermarket radio?
It sounds like the factory amplifier is not powering up. The amp turn on is green/white.

What frequency do i need to have my speakers on??

Different speakers perform better under different frequencies.
The sound you receive also depends on the box you use, and the type of car its in. In my opinion the best sound is what "I like" not what others set.
There is two ways of finding your optimum settings.
But my favorite way is to do the following.
1) Set every frequency on radio, preamp, cross over to amp and 0.
2) Turn the volume to about 50% - 75% using a song with different types of base.
3)Adjust your base gain, sonic, boost, punch or what ever settings until it sounds it's deepest. Don't over do the gain or base boost.
4)Adjust the other setting to fine tune clear sound.
5)Add the highs to see if they match up.
6)Now fine tune the amps but remember you should only need to bring the gain up or down because you had already found your deepest base. This should be the last amp adjustment unless u realize u want it lower or higher.
7)Adjusting the equalizer or EQ on the sterio will depend on the song your playing.
Note: It's best to max out at about 80%-90% sterio volume.
"I max out at 60%, but that's because I don't like twisting and twisting to get my sound up or down." One twist and im setting off car alarms.

Rear Speakers

Hello kaykayscott1,

Here's a link to the manual.

First make sure that the green green/black and purple purple/black pairs of wires are properly connected to operate the rear speakers.

You can check and adjust the "fader" and "rear volume" settings from the front panel. Go into settings by pressing the CONTROL knob. Then press CONTROL repeatedly until you get to the setting you want to check or adjust. When the display reads "R-VOLUME", turn the CONTROL knob from 0-35. Press CONTROL repeatedly again until the display reads "FADER" and turn the CONTROL knob from Rear 15 - Front 15 until you get the setting you want. Exit audio control by pressing any button.

Hope this helps.

Loudness Equalization : on

Equalizer: Choose one (Jazz seems to be loudest setting but sounds of hallway effect so I use powerful for clarity.)
