About four months ago the TV turned itself off and the green light was flashing. Following the manual I changed out the surge protector and was able to reset the unit. However yesterday I had the same problem; the set turned itself off and the light began to flash. So I replaced the surge protector and try to reset the unit. This time the TV will not reset. Unlike the last time this happened, as long as I hold the reset button in the light stays out, however, as soon as I release the button the light start flashing again. Is there anything else I should do to correct the problem ?? TV: MITSUBISHI Model WS-55511 Serial # 107455 Any assistance would be appreciated.

If the power light flashes three times in sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.
