Need to replace pickup roller on MFC-7820n. I've purchased the Genuine Brother Paper Feeding Kit with Pickup roller assembly and Separation pad. A quick look indicates the pickup roller assembly replacement doesn't just ''snap'' in and out. So I would like some instructions on how to remove, and replace, the pickup roller assembly on the Brother MFC-7820n.Otherwise a service manual for this equipment would be nice.

OK, I fixed this by carefully taking apart the machine. Shame on Brother for not having a how-to on this. It took me about 20 minutes to change out the rollers and it would have taken a lot less if I had instructions available.

Well, how to do that I don't know how to explain you, but first of all try to clean it, do it with thinner, this may solve your problem for while, at least until you find a way to remove and change.

try it without the separation pad. Since the problem started after the maintenance, it may nt be in properly. As you are getting the rubber on the paper, the roller is turning, but the paper is not going anywhere giving the error

HP 5100 paper feeding problem

Hello Paper feed problem are usually caused by worn feed rollers and separation pads. If you printer can not pickup the paper or pulls more than one sheet into the printer at a time then the rollers and pads need to be replaced. This is a user replaceable kit. You can get the kit here:

Cleaning the pickup roller will only temporarily delay problem. The pickup roller and separation pad needs to be replaced to correct the multiple paper pickup problem. The roller and separation pad is easy to replace. These parts come in a kit caller RK-1320 the parts kit is available here:

Hello,

Picking up more than one sheet of paper indicates the pickup rollers and separation pad is worn and they will need to be replaced. These parts work together to pickup and separate the paper from the paper tray and when they get slick the rollers allow more than one sheet to enter the printer which causes a paper jam and misfeed errors. The rollers and separation pad come in a kit and is user installable, no need to pay big money for a repair shop to do it for you. The kit RK-4100 is available here:

I have an hp p3005 with the jam code 13.01.00. It has had the feed rollers and sep pads replaced. When it runs it appears to catch on the separation pad itself since it shows a small buckle in the middle...

Replaced seperation pad?. separation pad work is to block multiple paper feeding,but in yourcase paper not at all feeding means paper pickup roller not picking up the papers.replace both 2 & 3 paper pickup rollers..

Pickup roller( red)
Un lock to remove pick up roller(blue),observe the angle of the roller & same way insert new one other wise it wont fix..
Bee care full while removing roller, paper sensor flag should not distubed(yellow)
bee pateince dont do harsh..best of luck.

The roller kit you need is RK-2100. You can do a Google search for this item. The kit contains the pickup rollers and the separation pads for both trays and also comes with the transfer roller. FEEDING PROBLEMS FROM PAPER TRAY

Remove left cover (where the USB connection is located);
Remove gear with a spring on it (you may need to unscrew the PCB that partially covers it);
There is a clutch that sticks to the rubber pad behind this gear. You may put a piece of scotch tape towards to a rubber pad, so the plastic from the clutch mechanism wouldn't stick anymore.

The ADF (automatic document feeder) is not feeding

take out the paper feeder try, and look at the pickup roller.
The roller may be at the point of smooth and shining.
You need to get a roller kit
