I HAVE GOT THIS AS A GIFT FROM USA,NOW WHEN I AM TRYING TO USE IT INDIA,IT DISPLAYS WRONG DISC EVERYTIME I INSERT A DISC OF WHATEVER TYPE IT MAY BE, WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM .

Tried inserting a cd with music or mp3s? If a cd will play and not a dvd it may be a country code problem.

he 7210 Supernova is a tri-band phone working on the 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands. In the USA they use 850 and 1900 MHz bands (as opposed to 900 and 1800 in India and pretty much everywhere except North America).

If you can pick up an operator using the 1900 MHz band you'll be fine. If not, you're out of luck.

If you want full GSM coverage both in India and in the USA then you need a quad-band phone. The 7210 Supernova doesn't fit the bill.

Says loading disk and then says wrong disk everytime. tried several different dvds. always the same answer!

The DVD portable player and the DVD disc came from the same countries?Ur DVD portable player and DVD disc u are using might have the wrong region DVD disc format frequencies.Like PAL frequencies only play Euroupean,Asia,Middle East,Austriala and Africa products.NTSC frequencise play only USA,Canada and Mexico DVD Disc products.

Hello

The problem with this is that hone that work in USA may not work in India.

If you want the phone to work in India, you will need to flash the phone so that it can work with India network service.

I would have ask you to do it your self but you do not have the software that you will use and it is expensive to buy one.

What i will tell you to do is to go to a mtorrola company in India and the problem will be rectify.

As long as the movies and games are the actual things and not some burnt rip-off discs you'll be fine. The movie companies do this so their stuff isn't copied illegally.

India networks use either the GSM900 and GSM1800 protocols. . Delhi itself and much of Northern India is on the GSM900 standard.

Cellphone users in the USA subscribe to carriers that use one of two technology standards. : GSM (global system for mobile communications) or
CDMA (code division multiple access).

GSM is used by T-Mobile and Cingular.
CDMA is used by Verizon and Sprint.

You will have to get the correct SIM card/phone to call in the USA.

The FCC has set stringent parameters for cell phone emissions Standards. Only cell phones manufactured to these Standards are sold in the USA. Make sure your phone is not doing more damage to your health.

Both previous suggestions are wrong. Your machine displays 'wrong disc' as you are trying to use a computer grade CDR, this machine needs a 'consumer audio' grade cdr that are more expensive. Google the manual, it explains further.
