Panasonic dvd recorder dmr-es15 cannot read disk

see this cause and remedies:
Does not play disc
  1. No disc. - Load a disc into the tray.
  2. Disc has been loaded upside down. Place the disc with the label side up.
  3. Disc region code does not match region code of the player.
  4. Disc type is not the correct type to play.
  5. Disc is damaged or dirty. Clean the disc or try another.
  6. Moisture may be condensed inside the unit. Remove the disc and the leave the power on for one or two hours.
finally the OPU, optical pick up unit contain lasser beam, is not reading the TOC, can be defective.see the diagram

PANASONIC DMR EZ48V SAYS ERROR CODE E60

I think that is an error created whist attempting to record digitally. If the error is not there on analogue, a firmware upgrade may be required and that has to be carried out by downloading the firmware and uploading it through the specialist interface that most High End Panasonic Dealers will probably have.

I also think it is to do with copyright, only one copy using digital. Like recordable Minidisk has or CopyCode etc.

Permanent Disc Protection

Hi, UnFormat Problem 1. Try Panasonic DVD-RAM, format that on the recorder, donot finalize OR 2.
