Whirlpool zen 8.5 kg turned off at end of load. Now will not turn back on. Any ideas

check for unbalance activation or lid lock malfunction
if you can get past the spin cycle then it will be a problem program board

Your question is not easy to answer. An average washing machine is 8 kg. The smaller 6 kg will use less water and detergent, but you will be limited to 4 or 5 pair of jeans at one time...unless your children are small. A front loading machine may be a better choice for you. It can do very large loads, 12 kg, and still use less water and detergent than most top loaders, but be prepared to pay three times the price of a top loader.

First back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and make sure it is disconnected from the computer. Then press and hold the play/pause button and turn it on simultaneously. It will then enter recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format and it should work like normal. If it freezes again, then you may need a firmware update.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

Normally, this would appear to be a Lid Switch or Neutral Drain problem BUT since it is re-filling , it sounds like a Timer problem.

when i turn on my 4010.the screen display shows 4010 but thats all it does.any solution.

The water fill selenoid had junk in it holding the valve open or the seat in the valve is damaged.
Turn off the power and water, remove two screws on the back of the machine and remove the lid.
On the back left top corner are the water fill selenoids. Remove these and disassemble by undoing the 6 or 8 screws ( depending upon model ) holding the unit together. Clean and reassemble, it should take care of the problem. If not, replace the selenoid.

you eather have a broke door switch or a blown thermal fuse you can check the door sitch just press and releace the switch it sould click it the tab i not broken if it is broken or you don't hear it click just replace the door switch.if the switch is good you need to replace the thermal fuse it is located on the back of the dryer. unplug the dryer remove the back cover at the bottom the is a small white fuse on the blower housing it has two blue wires pluged into it remove the one screw and wires replse the fuse reconect wires put back cover on plug in dryer and test.

It sounds like the hard drive is damaged I have a archos 605 wifi it froze up on me so i turned it off and turned it back on and it wouldn't load pass the archos welcome screen come to find out my hard drive was damaged.Hopfully yours is still under warranty otherwise you'll have to send it in and pay to get it fixed but i would say the hard drive is damaged.

I had the same problem. Couldn't turn on the Zen and computer wouldn't recognize it.

I took a safety pin and reset it. It works now! Thank goodness!
