Check your tension disks, with your presser foot up, and the tension dial on zero. Sometimes a piece of cotton breaks off between the tension disks and then prevents the disks to work properly. Also make sure when you thread the machine, the thread does go through the disks and over the take up lever. After you threaded the machine, before putting the thread through the eye of the needle, lower the presser foot and while pulling on the thread with your left hand, increase the tension with your right hand. Do it slowly and you should feel in difference in tension. If this is the case, your machine should work fine.

I dont know what happened but i was using my machine, Model 8763, for the first time and was just testing the different stiches and i started to sew a small blanket for my daughters doll and half way thru it just beeped 4 times and stopped, i tried again and it did a couple stiches then 4 beeps and stopped, the stitches on top looked fine but the bottom was all bunching. I read over and over that if that happens then to rethread the top, I have rethreaded it several times and had my mom, who is a seamstress look at it and rethread it and it still does it, any ideas what else I can try? I have also tried changing the needle and changing the tention on the top thread.
